Casual Appearance: Kuro has slightly messed, auburn red hair with calm dark golden eyes that seem to pierce even the most guarded of hearts. He is slim and has a relaxed posture, but is actually quite toned, due to the fact his parents are all-star athletes and he has been forced into most sports. Wanting to be unique and be an exception to the natural order of things, he likes wearing a brown, white, and red high collar uniform instead of the blue suits of Ouran.
Personality: Kuro has always been adventurous and craving for new knowledge. He likes to do things different from others since he has never had a choice to be who he wants to, due to his parents deciding for him and making him do things, such as many sports and extracurricular activities to the way he acts and looks, without consulting with him in the least. He is very independent and get's things done by doing them himself, always being the daring one and unwilling to turn down a challenge. He's a quick learner and usually picks up on things before others, making him good at solving problems and coming up with new ideas. However, he is very competitive and let's his own emotions cloud reason at times. He's as stubborn as a mule when he thinks he's right and will go to almost any measure to prove a point. Kuro can also be very childish at times, but easily forgiven because of his sweet and loving nature.

Hometown: Hiroshima, Japan
Past: Kuro's parents met at his father's championship football games. After the game, Arata went to the locker rooms, everyone else had left, but he had to get all of his stuff together before he could too. On mistake, a woman had accidentally wandered into the locker room, and saw him. They were surprised, but started talking and eventually started dating. They decided to get married when Makoto had gotten pregnant with Rei. After 2 years, the family decided to add one more, and along came Kuro. On Kuro's 8th birthday, April Fools Day, he was told on her way home from school, his sister had been hit by a car and died. Kuro ran to where they said she'd been hit and saw Rei being taken away and all the blood on the ground. Kuro hated the sight of blood from then on and eventually started to fear even seeing the slightest drip of it. By the time he was 14, his parents had forced him into baseball, tennis, football, and soccer, all of which he excelled at. He was also being tutored by college graduates at the time to keep him smart as well as fit. At 15, he was walking home and decided to stop by a local cafe, where we became good friends with the waitress, Etsuko Konomi, even though she was a few years younger. He made the cafe his regular place to spend time at and soon Etsuko was like a little sister to him. When he turned 17 he was told his tutors would be let off and he'd be going to Ouran Academy, where at first Kuro thought it was an April Fools joke, but he soon learned it wasn't so when they all moved and he was standing in front of the large estate known as Ouran Academy.
Additional Notes: Loves to tease and is very playful, despite his parents telling him to be formal and polite all the time.
