The Lake

"Hey," Yoru said, laughing. He swam up to them.

"And just for you to know,Kaine I win!"She said and tried drying off her shirt.Then Kairi turned to Yoru."What's up?"

I spit out water, "Yea, Yea I know~" I said.

"What's up? Are you taking about what up with me or what's up?" Yoru asked, closing his eyes as he floated on his back.

She smirked as Kaine admitted she won."I mean what's up with you."She said and turned to Yoru.

"Fine. Could be better. You?" Yoru said, he glanced at Kairi before diving underwater.

"Wet!"She looked at Kaine and pointed at him."Thanks to him!"But a moment later she shook her head with a smile.

I grinned.

Yoru shook his head, "Nice." He swam over to the dock and sat on it.

"What part of this is nice?"She asked and raised an eyebrow."And Kaine that's not funny."Kairi muttered and alsko grinned.

"uh-huh.." I said childishly.

"I don't know," Yoru said, he rubbed the back of his neck and grinned sheepishly. He dived into the water again.

She looked at the water then at her clothes."Eh,what the hell."She stood up and jumped in the water.

"Wow, Nako-chan, look at the water!" Hanabi pointed at the sparkling water. The moon and star light reflected off the water beautifully. Hanako nodded, eyes twinkling. The two ran ahead.
"Don't get too close to the edge you two." Haru advised in a low but completely serious voice. The two listened to her and stayed a good ten feet away from the edge. They squatted down and spread out the blankets they'd brought, giggling excitedly. Then they laid down, pointing up at the sky. Haru sat in between them, nodding as they pointed out the constellations. She had a small smile on her face. I wonder if Mom is watching us now...

"Haru-nee?" Hanabi asked softly, looking at her older sister.They'd been quiet for a while now.Haru thought the twins had fallen asleep and was wondering how to get them both home. "Why was Kiane-nii sad?"
Haru sighed, remembering Kiane at the sweets shop. Of course her sisters would notice. Not much gets past kids these days... Haru thought. Her eyes narrowed as she looked up at the sky, trying to think of an answer. "Kiane-nii is...going through a tough spot right now." she said simply.
"Does it have to do with Alex-san?" Hanako looked at Haru. Haru blinked, surprised, and looked at the older twin. "What makes you think that?"
"Kiane-nii looked sad when Alex-nii came in." Hanabi said, pulling at a blade of grass near the edge of her blanket. Haru sighed again. She couldn't tell her sisters--or anyone for that matter--about what she knew. Haru stood up, stretched and yawned. "You two...don't worry. Everything will be alright--" I hope..."Now let's get home before Dad wakes up."
"Ok.."the twins sighed, knowing their sister was keeping something a secret.But they just packed up their blankets and followed their sister away from the lake.

Mereni walked towards the lake and sat down by the edge. She glared at the cast on her foot, due to the eel biting.

Yoru sighed and walked around the lake. He spotted Mereni and waved before heading towards her.

Mereni saw Yoru and waved back. "Hello Yoru. How are you?"

"Fine and you?" Yoru asked, he glanced at her cast. He sat beside her with his legs propped up.

Mereni shrugged. "Better but still wanna kill the eel."

"I would too if it did that to me," Yoru murmured, he laughed a little. "What do you think Akihiko-san's reaction is going to be?"

Mereni laughed softly and said, "He will be protective and won't let me walk, so I'm sure I will have to yell at him to let me walk and put me down."

"Hm..I want to see that," Yoru mused, smiling. He tapped his chin and shook his head, "I talked to him a little before I left for Ouran."

Mereni smiled softly and asked, "Really? What did you guys talk about?"

"I told him I was going to Ouran and he said don't flirt with a girl name Mereni," Yoru said, he looked at Mereni and smirked."You don't happen to be the Mereni..right?"
