Lake

Haru jumped a little at the sudden noise. She peered around the tree trunk to see a girl rubbing her forehead. She was immediately concerned. "Are you okay?"

Evangeline blinked when a girl jumped from the tree. She looked up at her then nodded. "Yea~ I'm fine. Nothing a little good night rest won't cure.", she said cheerfully followed by a smile. "Aah, were you sleeping on this tree? Sorry if I woke you up. Ahehehe~" she uttered as she looked to the side and scratched her cheek.

Haru laughed, sort of embarrassed. "Actually I didn't realize I fell asleep. It's no problem." she looked at the girl, still slightly worried. "But it's not good to deprive yourself of rest. If you're tired you should sleep."

"Eh?" Evangeline looked at her then blinked twice. "Ahaha~ It's not that. I was just looking up at the sky when I barely realized this thing was in front of me. Ahehe~", she said, slightly embarrassed. "It's such a fine day that the sky was too beautiful for me to ignore."

"Ah." Haru looked up at the sky. She stared up at it for a minute, lost in her own thoughts. She smiled and looked back at the girl. "I totally know what you mean. That's why I usually come here actually...to look at the sky...do you like nature?"

"Hahaha. No." Evangeline said straightforwardly and yawned. "I only like the sky, and, well, yeah. That's basically it." she uttered followed by a chuckle and a shrug. "I'm more into gadgets. Ahehe~ But based from your comment, you like nature, don't you? That's why you were sleeping up there. Haha~"

"Haha, yeah I guess so." Haru said. She stretched her arms over her head, looking out over the lake. She looked back at the girl. "I'm Haru by the way. Haru Wakahisa."

"I'm Evangeline Francoise Van Houzen." she sighed at how long she always had to say her name whenever she introduces herself. "You can call me whatever you want. Ahaha~ I'm not really particular with nicknames. Anyway, nice to meet you Haru-saaan~" she said then smiled.

"Nice to meet you too, Evangeline-san. " Haru smiled. "Pretty name. Is it French?"

"Uh, umm..." she blinked twice, scratching her cheek. "Ahehe~ I don't really know. I told you, I'm not really particular with nicknames. Ahaha~" she beamed.

Evangeline took out a band aid, removed the wrap and placed it on the side of her forehead where the scratch she got when she bumped the tree was. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. "From the sound of it, yours is truly Japanese." she said followed by a gleam, "Sugoooi (cooool), I want a Japanese name too.~"

Haru laughed. "Kind of ironic that I'm from America then. But yeah, I guess if you trace it back far enough..." she chuckled once more to herself, then turned her attention to Evangeline's wound. "I have some medical supplies if you want..." she gestured to her forgotten back left at the base of the tree.

Kiane went to the lake, sitting by the water crying lightly. He didn't care if anyone saw him crying, he didn't care anymore.

As Kiane cried a dog trotted up and licked his cheek. He peeked at the dog, and petted him gently, "I wish I were you..."Kiane muttered looking into the water. Another tear fell from his face. This thing he was doing for his father, was practically making him not himself, which causes worry to fill everyone who knows him. Especially Mina, Alex, and some others. His thoughts ran to Yoru, where the hell was that boy? what about Kazuki, and Akira? Haru? People he knew..were fading away what if Mina dissappeared too? Then what would Kiane do. He was loosing freinds, they vanished, To be honest he missed his comedy moments with Yoru.

"Let make a bet Yoru~" "Like what?" "I'll buy yo an ice cream if Your right about those damn fangirls, and Vis Versa!" "Your an idiot why?" "I don't know..." Kiane smiled at the memory, he was always able to talk to Yoru...Come to think of it where was Lelouch and Kate? He looked in the water, as the stray dog fell asleep close to Kiane.

Evangeline waved her hand lazily. "It's fine, it's fine. I always get them all the time, so no need to worry." she said then laughed. She blinked then moved really close to her face. "Woaaaah, you where glasses too. Hihi~ How deep?" she asked followed by a beam.

Kiane continued to look into the water.

"Um...yeah." Haru laughed nervously, rubbing the back of her head. "I actually don't need them but..they're important to me. So I always wear them. Even if they are a pain." she chuckled and pushed said glasses up on her nose. She looked over Evangeline's shoulder and noticed a boy with red hair sitting by the edge of the water. Kiane?
"Could you excuse me for just a sec?" Haru said, smiling at Evangeline. She didn't mean to be rude, but her brother seemed upset and she wanted to check on him.

Kiane burried his face in his arms as a man in a black outfit grabbed him. Another man grabbed his other arm, as a man stood infront of him, "Hello Kiane...Kai"

"Excuse me but what do you think you're doing, sirs?" Haru asked, approaching them with her arms folded. The question was innocent but there was an underlying tone of I'd better get a good answer or I won't hesitate to act in my brother's defense.

One man punched Kiane in the stomache, as the other two threw Kiane. "And who are you girl?" They growled.

The men turned and laughed at Kiane, Who was coughing. "Your weaker then we expected Kiane..." one of them said. "I'm not going to fight...."Kiane said weakly.

Haru growled back. "I'm his sister so back off you punks!" she hurried over to Kiane to help him up. She didn't take her piercing stare off the two men while she spoke to him. "Are you ok?"

Kiane coughed, "Yea...."Kiane said softly, his gaze hit the ground.
"We're not going anywhere till Kiane pays-up.."The men said laughing.

"Well how much does he owe?" Haru asked sighing. So it was money they were after her brother for? How typical of humans. "I'll give you what you want. My father's a real estate agent."

"Not money..."One guy said. "Paper work..."Another man said. "For the boss..."The last one said. "I do not!"Kiane said, growling under his breathe.

"Paperwork?" Haru whispered to Kiane. She was still hanging on to his arm protectively and eying the men wearily.
