Lake

Luna smiled, "I'll race you..." Quickly she started to run towards the lack, pulling her shoes off.

Haru approached the lake with her younger twin sisters trailing behind her. The three of them still had on their bathing suits, having come straight here from the beach.
"Spread out that extra towel." Haru said to Hanako, who did just that. "Nabi," she turned to the other twin. "Fill a bucket with water.The lake is a lot cleaner than the beach." "Hai." the younger twin set to work.
"Now now, it's okay." Haru said soothingly to the animal in her arms. The akita dog's whimpering quieted down a bit as Haru lay her on the towel carefully. Haru reached into the picnic basket they'd taken to the beach and dug around for the emergency kit she always had with her.

It took a while, but Haru eventually fixed the dog's leg with a splint. Afterwards, she fed it a bit of her emergency kibble. She kept a stock of pet food for whenever she came across an apparently malnourished animal, such as this akita.
"Nee-chan, can we keep her?" Hanabi asked, petting the dog's head. It nuzzled into her hand. Hanako stroked her back.
Haru sighed. "I know you both want a pet, but I don't know if dad will allow one in the house."
"Can't you keep her in your apartment?" Hanako reasoned. Haru shook her head. "It's not that simple. I live with other people. I'd have to see if they mind dogs. I already have Skit and he stays in my room so he's fine, but dogs are a whole other story."
The twins pouted.

After a while of debate, Haru agreed to take the dog back to the apartment. "Just for tonight." she said. The twins hugged her. The dog, as if it understood (and Haru believed it did), licked her hand. Haru sighed.
So after taking the twins home and dropping off the beach supplies, Haru returned to the lake, carrying the akita. It was small, and she figured it was only a few months old. She sat down by the water's edge, carefully adjusting the dog in her lap so as to not irritate its broken leg. Haru stroked its head absentmindedly and looked up at the darkening sky. I love when it get's dark here...the stars are so clear and beautiful, unlike in town where the streetlights are too bright.

Mereni smiled and walked down the small little dock at the lake and sat down, looking at the water that was frozen over. She pulled her coat closer, trying to stay warm.

Cain sat on the edge of the lake, cellphone at his side.

Mereni sighed and smiled softly, running a hand through her hair.

Cain looked at his phone which was playing music. He got a text message.

Mereni turned her head, hearing music and smiled seeing Cain.

Cain opened the phone and text back and put it down groaning.

Mereni smiled softly and asked, "What's wrong Cain?"

"Something you call dad..."Cain muttered.

Mereni laughed softly and said, "I'm sorry. Anything I could do to help?"

"Get him to shut up?" Cain whined

Mereni laughed and walked over to him, and sat down next to him. "What's he saying?"

"Everything that is bad and hes adding Venom to it...."Cian said

Mereni sighed and said, "Let's see here...."

the song popped again filling the air once more with the filthy song.

Mereni smiled softly and asked, "Text or call?"

"Text...."Cain said.

"Just text him your with your girlfriend." Mereni said. "I know I'm not and Berry is but normally he'll leave you alone."

"Allright..."Cain said, he texted what Mereni said.

Mereni smiled and laid back against the grass and smiled.

Cain's phone went off. "Hello?..yes I have a girlfriend..."Cain said.

Mereni smiled softly and giggled lightly. "Cain who you talking to?"
