Evangeline is a perfectionist.
She wants everything perfect, and has a tendency of a slight obsessive-compulsive attitude. However, she's a lazy, super happy-go-lucky girl who basically loves everything except those school-related. Having said that, she can ace every field she goes into such as academics, music, and sports with ease. She's a natural born genius but is a bit childish in some ways. Her mood can be easily influenced by the type of person she's with. As any spoiled girl who grew up in a noble and well-known family, she is a bit innocent with certain things such as love or mature things. When she wants something, she'll do everything it takes to have it. She can be stoic in most times, having to be insensitive with other's feelings as she never feels insecure or jealous – which often gets her in to much trouble. However, despite that fact, she can easily be brought to tears. Though she may act tough outside, she's actually a very weak person inside, having to be scared with several things and has a super pessimist sense of thinking.

She has an unbelievably terrible weakness against directions, often ending up in who-knows-where places, and an incredibly extreme clumsiness, ending up almost tripping everywhere.

Past: 
Born in a prestigious family and clan of nobility, Evangeline is the one and only daughter of Leon Van Houzen, the current head of the Van Houzen family., and was born as a child-prodigy, a natural genius having an IQ of over 200, with the unique talent of highly exceptional intellectual ability to learn things incredibly fast. Once she's encountered something the first time, it will forever be embedded on her mind, which makes her excel in her studies as well as skills. As a consequence however, she was brought with a frail and fragile body or possess certain characteristics that are well beyond inferior with others (eg. poor navigational skills as well as clumsiness).

She grew up treated with extreme importance, and her upbringing is as luxurious as any other child prodigy, as well as the only heiress to the Van Houzen wealth and riches. However, due to this, she had always been locked inside her family estate, learning from her own private teachers in different and almost countless lessons and subjects. But she's a rather adventurous and mischievous girl even as a child - often sneaking out of the mansion during her lessons to explore the outside world; which again, leads to her having her life endangered. If it weren't for her family's highly advanced bodyguard system, she would have been kidnapped several countless times already.

It wasn't just until recently that she had convinced his father to enrol her in the Ouran High School.
