Then the cops came and I found myself in the hospital

No he wasn't he was looking behind him for some reason. Daemon was on the side of the road and BAM!!!

XD, I don't know about the whole bikes being worse than cars thing (was hit by a car XD; not going fast of course but still enough to leave ten scars that are still visible today lol).
