"I'm good~" Kiane said, in his normal tone.

Mereni smiled weakly and nodded. "Yep. Just thinking."

"Are you sure" Eric, Kate, and Kiane asked.

Mereni smiled softly and nodded. "You all sound like parrots.. Saying the excate thing at the same time."

The three of them laughed.

Mereni smiled and nodded, taking another sip of her water.

Kate smiled.

Mereni felt her pocket in her jeans vibrate. She pulled out her phone and looked at it. She sighed and answered it. "Hello?" She looked at her friends and mouthed 'sorry'. "Yes I'm still in school mother."

They all got silent (brb)

Mereni sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Listen mom, what do you want me to do?" she asked, venom sipping through her voice. "You left me and dad! You think I can just forgive and forget that?!"

Mereni sighed and looked at her drink, trying to hold back the tears. "You know I can't do that, mother. You didn't even come when I need you the most. I went 12 years without a mother figure." She took a sip of her drink and said, "You kicked us out of not only your life but Sam's and Alex's as well. Do you know what its like not seeing your siblings?"

Kate blinked and found paper and a pen. "Can I speak with your mother please!!!!" Kate wrote.

Mereni looked at the paper and nodded. "Yeah yeah, conference call my...." she sighed, and she hung up. "She hanged up on me."

Mereni smiled softly and sighed.

"Your mom doesn't sound like the best person in the world." Kate and eric said.

Mereni gave a grim smiled. "She isn't. Left me and my dad at the age of 5. Took my sister and younger brother with her. She married some guy, had another son. Won't even let me see him. And when my dad passed away....." She looked at her hands. "She didn't help me at all."

"wow...Can I tell you something Mereni?" Kate asked.

"Yes Kate?" asked Mereni, more focus on keeping the tears she held in for months in.

"My father was murdered when I was 7 I tried to stop the killer but was knocked out Eric saved me then mom was at her late night shift. then Afew months later mom packed all dads things and threw them in the basement. 2 years later, she was married to a man abushive and arrested for rape. then a few months ago she was murdered and afew months after that he was murderd...." Kate said

Mereni nodded and said, "You had family, like your brother to turn to. I had no one. Things like crushs and girl problems, I had no one to help me. My dad tried to help me as much as he could but.......it was never enough." She let a few tears slip out and she wiped them away.

"Yea but My mother ignored me after my fathers death like I was a mistake. She said it was my fault he died. Eric was never there after that night of papa being murdered. He was always traveling." Kate said.

Mereni bite her lip and said, "Looks like we both had a mess up childhood."

"Yea, see your not alone" Kate said. "Yea I had one like kates but harder..."Kiane said.

Mereni shook her and placed it on her arms, which were resting on the counter. "It just sucks. Now she wants back in but...I can't let her."
