Haru frowned at the mention of Kate's step-dad. Him in the equation didn't help at all. Haru took off her glasses with a sigh and covered her eyes to think.

Mereni smiled and walked over to a tree and tried to jump to a near by branch but couldn't with her ankle. She pouted and sat on the ground, leaning against the tree.

Mereni looked up and saw Kate-chan. "KATE-CHAN!!" yelled Mereni, smiling hoping she didn't scare her.
