It's Azakeru's own branch of the Family bakery. She likes to cook the food her self, and it usualy smells of baking sweets. It also could work as a cafe with a wall full of books to read while eating sweets and drinking coffee.

Vertigo smiled. "I prefer the corner too. At least we have privacy." he shrugged and led her to the vacant seat over the corner gently. He walked over to the other side and pulled out a chair for her, then smiled.

"Thank you." Haru said, slightly shyly. She sat in the chair and smiled up at him. "Didn't know you were the corner type."

Vertigo walked back to the other side and sat on his chair. "I've always been the corner type. It's more peaceful and silent that way." he smiled. The waiter arrived holding a menu for each one of them. He thanked the waiter before he left, then looked at Haru. "Please don't be shy and just pick whatever you want. I'd be very sad if you don't enjoy our simple date." he smiled.

"D...date?" Haru stared down at her menu, tilting her head just so her bangs covered her eyes. She was blushing slightly. After a minute she shook her head to rid it of her jumbled thoughts and looked up at him with a smile on her face. "I feel the same way. Um..about the corner I mean.."

Vertigo chuckled. "Yes, a lunch date. What else will you call it?" he smiled and looked on his menu as well. "And I wonder why you think I'm not a 'corner person.'" he chuckled.

Haru shrugged slightly. "I'm not really sure...and I don't know, you just..." she looked up at the ceiling, trying to think of a way to phrase her reasoning. "You seem like the type of guy who people are attracted to, therefore you have a constant crowd around you. They feed off of your energy and charisma, you feed off of theirs." she glanced out over the bakery and sighed. "This is Ouran, afterall."

Vertigo smiled and looked at her. "Can you keep a secret then? You seem to be the type to be trustworthy." he chuckled and placed his menu down. He sighed and looked back at her.

"I only fear one thing. And that's being isolated by other people." he looked at the table, "that's why I can't bear to be.. alone." he scratched his head and smiled. "Haha. Sorry, I sometimes mumble these kinds of things. I do apologize." he chuckled.

"You too huh?" Haru closed her eyes and ran her hand through her hair, messing up her bangs again. She immediately set to fixing them as she talked. "I fear the same thing." she admitted. She sighed. "But sadly, I seem to only make the situation worse. I read in a book once...'Man's greatest fear is the fear of being alone. And yet they make themselves alone.'" she smiled at him. "At least you're social."

Vertigo looked at her and smiled. "It's nice to here that I'm not the only one who has a weird fear like that. But aren't you social yourself? If not, then why don't you try to be?"

"I'm...um...not what you would call the 'socialist'." Haru responded, looking away. She laughed wryly. Homeschooling plus being shunned can do that to a kid. She blew a puff of air to move the lock of her bang that had fallen into her line of sight. "Plus I hate to be a bother."

Vertigo looked at her and smiled. "I might just be a random guy who popped in your life, but I just want you to know that life is short. That's why live it to the fullest. Do things that'll make you happy, and stop pretending." he chuckled. "That's how I live mine. And I think I'm enjoying it."

"Pretending." Haru blinked and looked away. Nobody had ever seen through her facade. Or cared to try. "I know what you mean and..." she sighed. "I try, I really do. But..I guess I just prefer to help others do that. Making others happy...I thought if I could do that, my life had some sort of...purpose. 'Living a life for others is more meaningful than living life for just yourself.' I read that somewhere before as well." she took of her glasses and folded them on the table, staring down at them.

Vertigo smiled. "Well then, let me help to make you happy." he chuckled. "You're a very selfless person. If all you want to do is help others, then sooner or later you'll need someone to help you about your own problems. That's why before that happens, I'll help you."he scratched his head.

Haru smiled at him. "That's really nice of you Vertigo-san...but I really can't ask you to do that." she tilted her head slightly, still smiling at him. "I'd like to help you though. So if you ever need anything, let me know, 'kay?"

Vertigo chuckled and shook his head. "I can take care of myself. What you need to worry about is yourself." he smiled. "I told you, I'll help you with anything I can." he looked at his menu. "Anyway, aren't you going to order anything?"

Haru blinked and looked down at her menu. She closed it and smiled at Vertigo. "I'll just have a small green-tea ice cream. If that's okay..?" she frowned slightly. "Now, are you sure I can't pay for it?"

Vertigo smiled. "Don't worry about it. I'll pay. Are you sure you don't want something bigger than that? It makes me think you're just shy to order." he sighed.

Haru laughed lightly. "If you're paying, then I'm fine with a small. I'd really hate to burden you." she was quiet for a moment, wanting to say more, but not exactly sure how she could.

Vertigo looked at her and smiled. He nodded. "If that's what you want. But please, really, I'm not burdened." he chuckled. He called the waiter then looked at Haru. "And for drinks?"

Vertigo chuckled. "Green tea ice cream and green tea?" he smiled. "You really like green teas don't you?" he chuckled and looked at the waiter. "So that would be, one green tea ice cream, and green tea for drinks. And I'll have a slice of vanilla cake and coffee..with extra sugar. Thanks." he smiled.

Haru laughed lightly when the waiter was gone. "I never really thought about it. My mother used to make it all the time. It made her feel closer to Japan while we were in America." she glanced up at Vertigo, then down at the table. "So you like coffee."

Vertigo chuckled. "Honestly, I don't like any tea besides Green Tea." he scratched his head. "Or maybe I don't know about teas that much." he laughed lightly. "And no, I don't like coffee that much. I prefer milk." he laughed.

Haru snickered. "And yet you're bringing Luna to a tea shop. She'd better like tea or else your plan is greatly faulted, Vertigo-sama..." she shook her head. "And why order something you don't even like?"
