Vertigo was speechless. He smiled. "It's funny, how only you can make me lose words." He swiped his hand then gave her pen back. "Don't worry. You'll grow to trust me and eventually let me see you without your mask." he chuckled. "I'll always be here when you need me." he ran his fingers on the red rose and it turned blue. "Just call me."

Evangeline calmed her eyes as she looked at the rose, then immediately turned to Vertigo and gave a wide smile. "Is it edible?" she beamed.

Vertigo laughed. "Not really." he pointed at a sign. "It says no foods allowed." he chuckled.

"Aiyoooh~ No fair." she pouted as she looked at the rose. "But thanks anyway. It's better to know that I can rely on someone." she smiled.

Vertigo shuffled his hair. "Don't worry. Vertigo Valentine is your shadow, if you want to put it that way." he chuckled.

Evangeline was fast asleep and was even snoring. XD

Vertigo blinked and chuckled. "Hey, are you getting back at me?" he smiled and gently pinched her cheek.

"Yesh." Evangeline nodded lazily then sat up as she rubbed her cheek. "Vertigo-kuun~, can I ask you a question?"

Vertigo looked at her. "Sure. Anything." he smiled.

"Why are you so nice?" she tilted her head as she asked. "Not only to me, but with other people as well. I've realized that when I kept meeting you in different places." she smiled. "You seem to have a mask as well."

Vertigo blinked and laughed. "What made you say so?"

Evangeline scoffed. "Because of the fact that you're TOO nice. I've never seen you get angry with someone, and you try hard to please everyone." she winked. "And with the simple fact that you never express your negative feelings with others." she grinned. "Am I right?"

Vertigo was speechless once again. He smiled. "Oh right. I forgot that you have an IQ of over 200." he chuckled.

Evangeline looked at him, then grinned and patted his head again. "We're the same then. So maybe I should also have the right to say, that you'll eventually grow to trust me, and let me see you without your mask." she smiled as she recalled his words.

Vertigo gave his natural smile. "You're incredible. I'm glad I met someone like you." he smiled again, and out of nowhere, hugged her.

Evangeline blinked at the unexpected response. "Uhm. Okay. Thanks. I'm glad I met you as well." she blinked again, unaware what to do as she just hugged him back.

Vertigo stayed like that for a moment. "Did you know?" he smiled. "I've always been hugging someone to give them comfort." he chuckled. "But this is the first time I've hugged someone to be the one who needs comfort instead."

Evangeline blinked, then smiled. "Wow, then I should feel special then." she chuckled. "Don't worry. Just like what you said, I'll be here when you need me." she smiled and shuffled his hair.

Vertigo smiled and let go as he leaned back. "Naw. It doesn't suit you. Only guys should say something like that. What more with a small girl like you?" he chuckled and pinched her cheek.

"Ara?" she closed one eye as he pinched her cheek. Then smiled. "Heeey, don't underestimate me. I'm a small but terrible person. Mmmhmm." she nodded and nodded.

Vertigo chuckled. "I know. Not to mention the most hyper person that ever stepped foot on earth."

"Bahahaha.. True true." she scratched her cheek. "Sooo, are we still going to study maths?" she chuckled.

Vertigo tilted his head and smiled. "Up to you. Are you in the mood to teach?"

"Uhmmm." she placed a finger on her chin as she looked up and thought about it. Then chuckled and leaned beside him as she looked at him. "No.~"

Vertigo laughed. "I thought so." he smiled. "So, have any ideas what you want to do?"
