Mereni's Bedroom

Mereni whimpered and shivered from the sudden lost of heat Akihiko was suppling. She winced sharply as her eyes snapped open and she shot up in bed, panting slightly. "NO!"

Akihiko sighed softly and snaked his arms around Mereni from behind. He rested his head on her shoulder, kissing it a little, "Are you okay?"

Mereni began shaking slightly and she hugged Akihiko tight. "Oh Akihiko...."

Akihiko smiled softly and gave her a peck on the lips, "Tell me what happened."

Mereni buried her head in Akihiko's chest and clung to him. "Our fathers found out the others occupation...they took us away from each other....then one of your dad's goons shot my dad..." More tears fell and Mereni pushed herself up against Akihiko, as close as she could.

Akihiko rubbed Mereni's back and sighed quietly, "Maybe it's best for us..not to be together." It was hard for him to say those words, but it was harder for him to think about it. He rested his head in the crook of Mereni's neck as he shed some tears, "I don't want you to get hurt because of me..whether it's physically or mentally.."

Mereni gasped sharply and shook her head. "No. No, no, no, no, NO!" repeated Mereni, getting up and looking at Akihiko.

Akihiko looked up and Mereni and frowned lightly, "Why not?" He sat at the edge of the bed, finding the ground more interesting.

"Because I know we would go insane without each other, Akihiko!" Mereni replied, pacing the room, thinking about what it would be like without him.

Akihiko smiled bitterly and looked up at the ceiling, "But what if it's better that way?" He stood up and put a hand on Mereni's shoulder, he gave her a light kiss as he pulled her close to him.

Mereni looked down, trying to stop the tears and asked, "So....what do we do from here?"

"I don't know..should we have sometime with out each other...or should we just continue being like this?" Akihiko asked, he stroked her hair softly as he let some of his tears fall. He pulled her closer and breathed her scent in.`

Mereni laughed dryly and said, "If I can't even make it a week or so when you're with your father, what makes you think I can last longer?"

"I don't know....," Akihiko said, he pulled way from Mereni and looked at her stomach before looking at her face. He smiled sadly and walked towards a wall so he could rest his head on it.

Mereni sighed and sat on her bed and placed her head in her hands. "I....I guess some time apart....will do us some good...." she said softly, hating every word.

Akihiko nodded and walked over to Mereni, he crouched down and lifted her head up to look at him. He gave her a soft kiss before he hugged her, "How does a week sound? Or maybe two?"

Mereni sighed and hugged back. "Come back when you feel is right." She blinked back tears and hugged him tighter.

Akihiko gave Mereni one last kiss and a tight hug before pulling away. He walked towards the door and paused looking back at Mereni, "I love you..and I guess this isn't good-bye so..later." He shoved his hand in his pocket and smiled sadly as he walked towards the front door.

Mereni smiled sadly and nodded, following him, grabbing a sweater. "Yeah. See ya."
