Kuro's eyes softened a bit, "Am I something making you sad Kate-chan?" He frowned a bit, the hyperness drowning out of him.

Kuro frowned more, "Kate tell me the truth.." He instantly saw through the mask she was trying to put on, knowing she was upset about something.

Kuro was unwilling to drop the subject, wanting to know what he did or said wrong so he could fix it, "Kate please tell me..." He looked at her with pleading eyes, feeling sad because she was.

Kuro stayed silent for a moment, feeling extremely guilty and saddened. "I'm sorry Kate..I didn't mean to...I just.." He was trying to come up with an explanation that would make her feel better, but was pretty horrible at comforting people.

Kuro leaned back in the chair so it was balancing on the 2 back legs, but accidentally went a little too far and fell backwards, "Ow." He said, laughing at himself.

Kuro chuckled again and stood, standing the chair up as well, and sat down again. "Yeah, I just got a little tipsy is all." He chuckled at his pun.

Kuro sighed, but it was almost inaudible. He knew Kate was still upset about her mother, but seeing as how she wanted him to drop the subject before, he doubted her mind had changed in the small amount of time.

Kuro's eyes widened a bit, filling slightly with fear a remembrance. He looked down at the table, "I know how you feel..my sister was murdered too.." His aura got a bit nervous and he took a shaky breath, trying to forget the images he witnessed out of his head.
