"Yea, meaning if he does a certian thing he'll die." I said.

Haru stared at her, not sure how to respond. "What...how...I mean...have you told the police?" she wasn't sure what kind of situation it was.

"Not that way, medical way. Well his is he fights anymore then he'll die." I said, sweatdropping.

"Right..." Haru sweat-dropped. "What's wrong? I mean does he have a condition or something?"

"No, cuz of his step-father, he can't fight anymore.." I said.

"May I ask...what happened?" Haru asked cautiously.

(have to go soon...little sister is bugging me *sweatdrop*)

"His step father punched him long enough, to give him internal bleeding 8 different times..." I said, looking at her.

Haru began feeling depressed. What was it with these abusive step-fathers? "Is he ok? I mean obviously not but...does he live with his step-father?"

"He doesn't now...He lives in the school apartments with Mina-chan..."I said looking at her.

Akira returned to the Lake and surprised that people we were here. He walked up to them and waved. "Didn't except you guys to be here so late." He said in a tired and dull smile. The only thing that confused him was the topic of conversation. He was completely loss and felt like he shouldn't really intrude. "Am I intruding on anything?"

"Noooo..." I said looking at him smiling.

(i guess he's filling in for Kate-san lol)

"Nope.Welcome back Akira-san."she replied. She turned to Kate. "Well that's good."

He tighten his hat on his hat and nodded. "Arigato Haru-san." He looked at Kate and rubbed his chin. "That bruise getting any better yet?" He asked returning the smile.

"A little.." I said smiling lightly.

"I'm glad." Haru smiled at her friend.

He smiled faintly and nodded. "Well, that's good. I couldn't focus through my errands knowing that someone was hurt." He definitely felt that he interrupting something however, he didn't go on asking afraid of causing too much depression and sadness in the atmosphere.

"Sorry, Akira-kun..." i said looking down.

"I did what you told me to, Akira-san." Haru smiled. "Don't know what we would've did without you."

I kept my eyes on the ground.

He blinked and surprised. "Eh? I wouldn't say I done much." He scratched the back of his head. "You were a big help too Haru-san." He turned to Kate and blinked even more. "Eto... What for Kate-san?

Haru noticed Kate's gaze drop. Just like before. "Um...Kate-san?" she whispered,leaning in a bit."Why are you so timid around Akira-san?"

"I was hurt, so it was distrachtin you..." I said.
then i whispered to haru, " i don't know.."

Haru looked back and forth between Kate and Akira, trying to make a connection, but coming up empty.

He noticed the two of them whispering. He rubbed the back of his neck and stretched a little bit. "I'll let you two be, I'll be sitting by the dock if you guys need me." He walked over to the dock and sat down. It seemed like he came at a bad time, however, he was sort of lonely tonight so knowing that people were around gave him a sense of comfort.

I looked at him, "No sit right here.." I said patting a spot next to me.
