The Lake

"That's where I know you from!" Haru lit up at her epiphany. She'd seen Kate and Lelouch together on several occasions, but never actually approached them. "I mean..." Haru didn't want to seem like she'd been following them or anything. "Oh. Well either way I'm glad you did...and..."Haru couldn't help but ask, hope was building up inside her."You consider me a friend?"

"You were the person i heard across the rive yeterday..." i said sighing.
atleast i found out who it was.....
"Yes i consider you a freind..." I stated, looking at her with a blank, yet suprized expression.

"Oh yeah..." Haru blushed at the memory. With so many couples at Ouran, it was hard not to catch a glance of some in action anywhere you went. Haru had never seen so much P.D.A, even in America.Anyway..."Well, thanks for that." Haru smiled softly. "Ha, not sure if you noticed Kate-san but I'm not too...popular."

"So who cares if your popular or not...in fact my one freind Kiane hes overly popular with the ladies and hates it....I hate popular people....minus Kiane and Yoru." i said looking into the water.

Haru laughed at the image of fangirls swooning over one guy. "I don't hate the popular people. They can't help being popular, well some of them. Me, well its the fans I can't stand." Haru was quiet for a moment. "Kiane and Yoru...I feel like I've heard those names before. You know they must be popular for someone as anti-social as me to hear about them."

I growled then looked at the giglin fan girls, "GO AWAY GOD!" I said obiously angry and or irritated.

Haru couldn't help but laugh, she covered her mouth trying to hide the smile. "That's one thing you don't have to worry about when under the radar: annoying, stalker fangirls with cameras for every time you tie your shoe."

"Eto sorry" I said, sweatdropping.

Haru smirked."It's fine. Um...well as long as your arm's feeling better...I won't make you stay here Kate-san." Although Akita-san might wonder where she went if he comes back... "Do you have to get home?"

"No..." I said, sighing

"Um...Kate-san...may I ask you something?" Haru mulled over whether she should ask or not. Maybe it was too personal...

"Sure, feel free to ask." I said, looking at her.

"Well...it's about...your step-father." Haru said slowly. She wasn't sure what her new friend's reaction would be.

"Ask its fine..." I said.

"I don't want to be nosy.Forget I said anything." Haru said quickly. The last thing she wanted was to drive her first friend away by prying. "Um so tell me more about your friends...Kaine? Yoru?"

"I'll tell you more about those two after you ask me that question..." I said, bluntly

Haru sighed. "Fine...just...why?" She asked, looking at Kate. "Why does he hurt you like that?"

"Because, He knows i won't fiht back cuse he was married to my mom." I said
"Kianes a great guys...So is yoru.." I said

Well that's specific. Haru thought sarcastically.But she let it drop, since Kate had answered her question. Wait..."Wait...you said 'was'."

"Yea...my mom died last week..."I said grimly.

"Oh..." Haru's face fell. That she wasn't expecting to hear."I'm sorry...for your loss..." Haru said softly. She blinked away the stinging in her eyes. Kate wouldn't need any more sadness than she probably already had.

"Its fine, my life isn't as bad as..Kianes..." I said.

"Kiane...?" Haru wasn't about to ask for the personal life of someone she hadn't even met. If Kate wanted to tell her, she would. "Is he ok?"

"His younger brother, just got kicked out of brolins house, and is now living with Kiane....and Kiane's life is on a threat meter..." I said looking into the water.

"A...threat meter?" Haru asked, confused. She can be kind of slow.
