Riko nodded."Yeah. Okazaki-sensai talked about it last night at class" A bee flew onto her arm and stung her at her wrist. She winced.

Vertigo blinked then chuckled. "I'll be looking forward to it then." he smiled. "And will you baking some cake there too?" he gave a wide smile.

"Of course I will be. Cakes in the winter are so romantic" she said as she closed her eyes and clapped her hands together. "To share a cake with a boy by a fire is a dream of mine" she sighed dreamily

Vertigo looked at her still munching his cake. "Hmm. So will your boyfriend come after all? Or is he busy? I'll drag him out of whatever he's doing just so he can come with us, if you want." he chuckled and took a sip on the tea.

Suki went back to drinking her tea "I don't even have a boyfriend. Never had one before" she said as she sipped her tea

Vertigo looked at her in wonder. "Really? Wow." he chuckled. "That's a surprise. Most of the beautiful people like you are often already taken." he smiled.

Suki giggled "Nope not me. Guess I havn't peeked anyones interest. Kinda sad I guess" she said

Vertigo tilted his head. "And now I wonder why." he chuckled. "Surely a lot of gentlemen will be dying to be with you." he smiled.

Suki just sipped her tea "Well I don't see the point in having a boyfriend if I don't have feelings for the guy and besides I do have feelings for someone very special. Shame to say I doubt he has the same feelings for me as I do for him"

Vertigo continued to eat. "Hmm. That's hard." he took a sip on the tea. Then looked at her. "Then maybe I can help you." he smiled. "I'm a guy after all so maybe I can befriend him and carry on from there." he smiled. "What's his name anyway?"

Suki looked at him wide eyed as she set her tea down "W-well you know him very well" she said nervously

Vertigo took a sip of tea. "Really? Then that's a whole lot better. This'll be easier then. So, who is he?" he tilted his head as he asked.

Suki blushed and looked down at her cup of tea "I-its y-you" she said and went even redder

Vertigo almost choked of the cake. He immediately drank his tea to clear his throat. Then looked down as well. "U-um. I see." he scratched the back of his head. "But you just met me. You don't even know much about me. Surely there you have other guy friends you like that you just don't realize." he smiled

Suki shook her head as she gripped her cup "N-no I do have a few guy friends but I like them I don't like like them. I've felt like this the first time I met you. It's pretty stupid though"

Vertigo scratched the back of his head. "Um, I'm not really good at things like this. I usually end up speechless." he cleared his throat and continued eating his cake. "But I don't know what made you, "like like" me though."

"Its because you are so nice to me. You actually made me think I was worth something so it made me happy" she said as she squeezed her cup tighter

Vertigo smiled. "Now that's an interesting remark. You sound like you're not treated special by your friends or family at all."

"Oh no not really but yes in a way" she said as she giggled "Me and Ame-chan are like sisters now so we are like best friends. And as for my family mama is nice and all but she wants me to become a dancer more than anything yet I don't want to and well papa he's......difficult because he likes to dress me up and well big bother Leo is nice and all but he keeps to himself. the twins Greed and Gluttony are in there own little insestic world and well Pride. Prides not so nice" she said as she sipped her tea "But I do really like you Vertigo"

Vertigo looked at his tea cup. "I don't know." he said softly. "I told you, you don't even know me that much. There are certain things about me, that isn't really as pleasant as how I make it seem to be." he sighed. Then looked at her and smiled. "Besides, I don't want you to get disappointed with me in the end. I think it's better this way, don't you think?" he chuckled.

Suki shook her head and still smiled "No I'd still like you no matter what's happened to you. Sorry but I can't change the way I feel about you"

Vertigo narrowed his eyes. He simply smiled and sighed. He looked at the tea cup. "What if I tell you..that I simply like playing with other people's feelings? That I don't really care about them, and is simply wearing a mask, a fake pleasant me to please others, and break them in the end. This is the real me after all, enjoying every successful heartbreak." he smiled and looked at her. "What would you do?"

She thought about then just smiled "I wouldn't care at all Vertigo. We all have ways of how we treat each other and how we present each other to people so it doesn't matter. Hey do you think I'm all nicey nicey for my own good? I act like that to some people to get what I want but not with you. I can actually be myself" she said as she smiled again

Vertigo looked at her. "So you don't even care if you're just one of the girls that I've played until now?" he chuckled. "What am I saying? Sorry if I scared you with these statements, I'm not like that at all. In fact, I hate hurting other people. But all I'm saying is that, what if I was like that after all."

"I told you. I wouldn't care if you were like that. I love you for you ok. Good and bad points and everything that makes up you" she said as she smiled and poured some more tea "Want some?" she asked

"Thank you." he chuckled and handed over his cup. But lowered his eyes. "Did you know? That I was once a person like that?" he chuckled. "It's kind of hard to believe, but it's true."
