Riko nodded."Yeah. Okazaki-sensai talked about it last night at class" A bee flew onto her arm and stung her at her wrist. She winced.

Vertigo chuckled. "Because I told you, I'm the lost sheep of the Valentine family." he shrugged. "It tires me when I keep up a serious face. But I really am serious about this."

"People risk their lives everyday, why can't I do the same?"

Vertigo looked at her and didn't really know what to say. He sighed. "Because those people don't care about others." he looked to the side. "Sure, you don't care about yourself at all, but at least, think about what those people who care of you will feel when something bad happens."

"i do care about them, I want to help make the world a better place. I don't want to the local perv stalking my friends, I not want to have crimminals wondering around the streets!"

Vertigo raised an eyebrow. "And you really think you can defend yourself when you walk alone at night and a group of hoodlums block your way?"

Raven rolled her eyes, "Gezz it called pepper spray, I sure that stuff works on people."

Vertigo raised an eyebrow. "Alright, you already failed the entrance examination for your police dream." he chuckled. "Pepper spray only works with one person. You'll even be lucky if you get two. And even before you can get it from your pocket or bag, I'm sure they've already caught a hold of you." he grinned.

"And you know that I can run, and normaly you have a partner and so what if somethibg like that happens, that type of stuff happens daily to normal people."

Vertigo shuffled his hair. "Yes, but don't you think you'll be the target of others who want to get back at you because you're a cop?"

"That is just part the job, and I accept it, and thats the end of that conversation so waht do you want to do?" She asked.

Vertigo looked at her and then sighed. "Sorry. I'm just." he sighed again and looked to the side. "I'm just worried." he shuffled his hair.

"Don't be worried about me, so tell me what do you want to be?" She asked again.

Vertigo looked at her then smiled. "A doctor. A cardiologist perhaps. It's a surgeon specializing in the heart." he chuckled.

"Cool." Raven said.

Vertigo shrugged. "Although my relatives will probably hate me for that." he sighed. "The Valentines are a family of businessmen."

"So what if they hate for that, it is your life and they have to accept it.' She smiled

Vertigo chuckled. "I know." he shrugged. "And it's not like they can do anything about it anyway."

"Oh well if I get shot or stabbbed or something, I'll know who to go to." She said sticking her tongue out.

Vertigo narrowed his eyes. "That's not funny." he chuckled. "I'd probably freak out and hunt down whoever stabbed you when that happens."

"But then you can say 'I told you so' That way you have proved mr wrong and that you were right the whole time."

Vertigo raised an eyebrow. "Um. No. I'll still hunt the one who stabbed you." he chuckled. "Besides, I can't stop you from going after what you dream after all. I'm just here to say what I think." he smiled.

"And what are you going to do after you hunt the person down?" She asked

Vertigo shrugged. "You're not yet 18 so I can't tell you." he laughed.

Raven sighed, "Fine then, I'll have to find a new docter."

Vertigo laughed. "Don't worry. I'll still hunt him down." he chuckled. "But I sure hope that doesn't happen though." he smiled. "I won't want anyone to hurt you." he sighed.
