Lake

Sumiko's eyes followed him but her body stayed still, "Maybe. Depends what your definition of 'new' is." She brought her knee up to her stomach, fixing her boot a bit, but keeping most of her attention on Akihiko.

"By new I mean just got here," Akihiko said, he folded his arms across his chest. He lifted his head to look at the girl, "What's your name?"

Sumiko shrugged, dropping her foot back onto the ground, "Then yes, I suppose I am new." Her instant response to people asking her name was to give an alias, but she didn't feel Akihiko as much of a threat, "You may call me Nami."

Akihiko nodded and smiled lightly. "Nami," he murmured, getting the feel of her name, he tilted his head before he looked at Sumiko. "Nice name."

Sumiko squinted one eye a bit and shrugged, "It's the first gift I ever received." She started walking towards the dock and sat down criss cross applesauce, resting her elbows on her knees and letting her hands hang in her lap.

Akihiko pushed himself off the tree and sat a next to Sumiko, but still kept a few feet away from her. He yawned lightly and glanced at her, "So which class are you in?"

Sumiko looked over the water, her eyes a bit distant. "1A." She answered solidly, feeling she didn't have the need to say anything else.

Akihiko nodded his head and closed his eyes. He tapped the dock lightly before he rested his head on the palm of his hand.

Sumiko turned her head slightly, looking at him from the corner of her eye, "You're bored." She stated, reading his body language.

Rie was becoming bored with her surroundings, deciding to take her pet snake for a walk in the park. The outside air calmed her, though she had to ignore all the strangers around her. She found a place near the lake to sit on a bench, off where she wouldn't be likely to be bothered.

"I guess you could say that," Akihiko murmured softly, smirking lightly. He stood up and took off most of his clothes except some shorts before diving into the water.

Sumiko turned raised an eyebrow, her eyes showing off disappointment with a slight tinge of curiosity. She wasn't expected to see stripping when she came to the lake. While it seemed she was paying full attention to Akihiko, a lot of it was directed to the other girl that had made her way to the lake.

Brushing off the feeling of being watched, Rie looked down at the pet snake she held in her hands. He was very calm now but she knew he got easily excited, and held him in a way he wouldn't be able to bite.

Sumiko shifted her eyes to look at the girl, instantly taking note of the snake she was holding. Interesting..must be a pet. She stood up and started walking back into the trees, making it look like she was leaving the lake, but once out of eye sight, she climbed into a tree where she had a good enough view of the girl.

Unexpectedly, her phone vibrated in her pocket, causing Rie a moment of panic. Before the snake could get away she answered it, speaking with her fiance Kamoku a moment and telling him it wasn't a great time. She hung up and turned her attention back to the snake, who calmed down in a few moments.

Sumiko squinted one eye a bit, wondering who had called her. She dropped down so she was hanging from the branch by her arms and swung a bit, attempting to jump and latch onto the branch of a tree not far away. Instead, she missed by a few inches and landed flat on her face into the ground with a thud, "Goddammit!"

Rie jumped a bit, startling the snake and making it bite her. She was used to this as hyper as Kamoku could be around her. After so many times of being bitten by this snake she knew he would let go in five seconds, and that it would be fine for a few hours before it needed to be cleaned and bandaged. Meanwhile there was a strange girl who had fallen out of a tree. Rie immediately noted off attire and a few other traits, seeing if she could determine any personality from this.

Sumiko sighed and stood up, wiping a bit of dirt off her cheek. She chuckled a bit, ignoring the pain in her chest. Striding out into the open, she went over to the stranger, sitting down in front of her with crossed legs, "I find it unlikely you didn't notice that, if not, you need some serious help with your observation skills ma'am."

"I did notice that," Rie replied. "But I was more concerned about the fright you gave my pet. I apologize for your injury." The snake let go of her hand and burrowed into her hoodie.

"Ack," she thought to herself. "This would be more pleasant if I could hide behind someone like the snake."

Sumiko watched the snake, staying silent for a moment, her eyes moved down to look at the two puncture wounds from it's fangs on her skin. A little more observant looking showed up more, very light scars of snake bites, issuing this definitely wasn't the first time she's been bitten. "How long have you had the snake?" She asked, looking at her hood.

"About a year now," said Rie. "He's calm, but easily startled. I know he doesn't mean harm." Despite her calm voice, Rie's heart was pounding quickly. It was odd talking with someone on her own, rather than hanging around while her fiance spoke with a friend she didn't know. She much preferred the silence of her snake to a conversation with someone she wasn't familiar with.

Sumiko looked at her silently, watching her face. She saw just a small flash of panic in the girl's eyes and realized her breathing was just a bit quicker than average. Is it from fear? Am I scaring her? Or is she just nervous with strangers? I wonder..

Rie could tell the girl was curious about something, and tried to figure out what had changed that would make the girl wonder. Noticing her breathing wasn't quite right she waited for it to correct itself. "He doesn't mind strangers," she said, looking at the girl but avoiding eye contact. "If you would like to hold him, you may."

(Jacob lol meh brudder. SDFMNJFNGVJSVN Dad says I have to get off the computer for 2 hours >.< I hate cleaning house...meh..)
