Lake

"Fun," Kamoku said cheerfully. "I didn't choose my job."

"We don't choose anything but clothes and pets really," Rie said.

"Like bunnies," Kamoku.

"We aren't even getting married till 4 years from now and we already have a marriage problem," Rie said.

Sumiko chuckled, "I think I want to do something awesome." She pumped her arm once and held it down in a 'Yes I'm awesome!' kind of way.

She shrugged, "I don't really want pets. I'm good with this," She bent down and picked up a small gray rock, "I'm naming it Roxy."

"Neh but.... bunnies," Rie said. "Pet rocks are awesome."

"She likes bees and spiders," Kamoku spoke as if Rie had a deadly disease that would start an apocalyptic epidemic.

Sumiko opened her mouth in an 'O' shape, "Ahhh spiders?! I love spiders! I just hate cats." She stuck her tongue out and closed her eyes to show she would definitely not want a kitten for her birthday.

"But cats are awesome," Kamoku protested.

"Opposites don't attract in this case," Rie said.

"Nupe," said Kamoku. "Rie you're new friend should visit us for supper"

Sumiko shook her head, "Cats can go extinct for all I care. Actually, I'd prefer it." Her expression change into a bit of uncertainty at his last comment, "I-I wouldn't want to be a burden or anything..besides I told my father I'd be home and..and.." She was just making excuses and rubbed her arm.

"I'm sure you wouldn't be," Kamoku said. "I bring friends to Rie's house all the time. But if your father would prefer you be home tonight, perhaps we could work out a time while I'm not at boarding school for you to visit."

"I love how I have no say in this," Rie thought to herself.

Sumiko paused for a moment, shaking her head a bit, "It's Rie's house. Her choice if I go or not." She took out her cell phone again to text her father she'd be having dinner with a friend, guessing Rie's answer.

"Actually the house belongs to my parents and they've been dying for me to find a friend," Rie said, wondering if she seemed too submissive. "But I suppose I can't force anyone into anything." She jabbed an elbow into Kamoku's ribs for being so insistent on choices that weren't his.

"Oww," he complained, a hand going to rub the sore spot. "What was that for?" Rie didn't answer, but she did like getting a reaction out of him.

Haru approached the lake and took a deep breath of the scented air. She smiled contently. I missed this place. She sat down by the edge of the lake and rolled onto her back, staring up at the sky. After a while she started to doze.

Lelouch walked along the shore, his hands still red form the fight with Dylan, not taking any notice of anyone else, the cool breeze brushed across his face, sending shivers down his spin

Haru blinked and took off her glasses to rub her eyes. How long have I been asleep? she wondered, but made no move to get up. Instead she just lay there and stared up at the sky, watching the clouds crawl.

Mereni walked to the lake and smiled. She took off her shirt and shorts that were covering her bikini. Mereni smiled more and jumped into the lake.

Lelouch sat by the water edge, he smiled, and watched Mereni swim in the lake

Mereni resurfaced and smiled. She saw Lelouch at the edge and said, "Hey Lelouch!"

"Hey Mereni" he called back, still sitting by the shore

Mereni swam closer to him and asked, "What's up?"

"Just chilln, you?" he asked looking at her

Mereni smiled brightly. "Swimming."

"That doesn't surprise me at all" he said looking at the lake

Mereni smiled more and dove underwater and resurfaced. "It doesn't?" she asked with a light laugh.

He laughed softly, "No it doesn't" he said staring at the water

"Wanna come in?" asked Mereni, seeing him stare at the water.

"No, thank you" he said turning to her, "I'll get wet!" he said laughing

Mereni rolled her eyes and laughed. "That's the point of swimming!" she giggled, splashing water at him.
