*Looks at her face* "He he.. you look funny." he said trying to hold back a laugh.

Airi looked at him and her face was a light shade of red. "A-Ah..." She then picked at the grass, slowly.

Seeing her blush made him blush a little. Gah! Why is this happening?! he mentally cursed to himself.

She smiled, and then looked at the sky. "It's a nice day, huh?" She saw the birds and couldn't help but to stare at them.

"Yeah it is.." he said as he smiled.

As the birds flew away, she tried to chase them, but they were too fast. She tripped, but contiuned to watch the birds soar.

"Are you okay?" he asked her a bit concerned. *picks her up then sets her down on her feet*

Airi nodded a yes, "but the birdies went away..." She sighed. "But I hope they'll be alright."

*Laughs a little* "You'll probably hurt yourself if you tried to catch one. *Ruffles her hair*

Airi laughed. "I guess you're right!" Airi then kicked the grass lightly.

"So..uum.." he said while scratching his head.

Airi suddenly shouted whatever came to head. "S-so, how are you today?"

"Pretty good.. I think..." he replied

Airi couldn't think of anything to say, but for some reason, she felt really happy. Her cheeks were a light pink, and Airi was smiling.

Ayumu felt pretty good. He hasn't talked to anyone like this not since 'she' left. He thought that this girl reminded him of her. A single tear fell from his eye as he thought of her..

Airi turned to him, and noticed the tear. "A-are you alright?" She was worried.

"Huh?" he quickly wiped the tear from his eye. "Oh it's nothing, just some old memories."

Airi couldn't help but worry, though. "Tell me, please? I know we just met but..."

"Naw, I don't wanna trouble you..." he said to her softly.

"I-it's no trouble at all!" Airi said, flustered. "I-I mean... Getting to know each other is the first step of friendship, after all... right?"

"Yeah I guess your right. Ok here goes..." He began to tell her about the girl he met back in preschool. She was new and one of the only kids who have even bothered to notice him. They became best friends soon after, that is, until the last year of junior high. Her family decided to move to another country, so before they left, he planned on confessing his love for her. But without warning, her family decided to move earlier than expected. He suffered from depression, but was out of it a few months later. He won't talk to anyone anymore, not even the teachers. After he got done explaining, another tear fell from his eye.

Airi's eyes started to well again. This time, her tears didn't stop. "T-that's... so... sad..!" She then looked down, so he wouldn't worry.

"Don't cry, please.." he said while wiping her tears with a tissue from out of nowhere (xD)

Airi looked at him. "Okay.. No more crying from me from now on!" She then smiled.
