The Playground.

Jaylne was in a swing, with a white rose in her hair.

His eyes grew softer and less tense. He sat down by the swing next to Daemon. He bit his lip and his expression grew melancholic. He looked back at Daemon. It was true, he didn't know how to answer Daemon properly. Countless thoughts rushed inside his head, banging against each other. He started to swing back and forth, dragging is feet in the wood chips exactly how he was in the beginning of the night. He looked at Daemon and smiled.

"I'm ready to listen now,"

Jaylne was sketching up a rose with a ribbon attached to it.

Daemon smiled,"I just want to talk, nothing more and nothing less. I want you to answer me clearly..."he said looking away with a slight blush. He wasn't sure how to start. He gripped the chains of the swing and looked down at his feet like a child. He really did feel like a child, it was like confessing your kindergarten crush.


(mmmmhm, chips)

Jaylne was then starting to sketch a dove taking the ribbon and carrying it and the rose in the sky.

He looked at him curiously and looked down at the wood chips. He gulped and looked at Daemon.

"Alright, whenever you're ready."

Jaylne continued to sketch.

Daemon started to play with his hair,"Akira, do you remember when we were on the boardwalk and you got in my face? And when I said something about kissing...?"he asked not really sure where he was gonna go with this. His emerald orbs searched th sky for any answers.

(lol there was a kissing scene on tv)

He looked to the side, inhaling and exhaling lightly, keeping his cool. He felt a little pressured but none the less, continued to listen to Daemon. He nodded, closing his eyes. He laughed nervously, but his stomach was churning.

"Yes, what about it Daemon?"

Daemon looked at Akira,"Akira, when you were that close to me. It felt like, I don't know...the feeling was new. I don't understand what it was..."he said placing a hand on his heart. He closed his eyes and sighed.

Jaylne continued to sketch.

(I keep distracting myself with the food channel. I'm hungry... and there's no food in my fridge)

He looked at his hand and gulped. He looked away sheepishly and gulped.
"Daemon... are you suggesting that you like me?" He sweatdropped at how nervous he was in this situation.

(lol i keep looking at the movie that is playing the at the floor. think of soemthing besides food)

Daemon looked at Akira,"Well, I guess so..."he said in an embarrassed. Daemon started to twirl a strand of hair in between his fingers. He looked towards the ground. He started to rock back and forth in silence.

He looked down at his feet and held his stomach. He looked back up at Daemon. He seemed to be honest with him, and now it was his turn, however, the answer may not be favorable.

"Nachi.. my brother remember? I'm very hesitant and paranoid when it comes to these sort of discussion..." He was even hesitating now with the answer. How does Daemon and Nachi have anything to do with each other. "Its difficult for me to explain but..." Perhaps the answer was the reason why he never had many friends and why he distant himself away from everyone and everything.

Daemon looked over at Akira,"Yeah, I remember him. Why are you paranoid?" he asked. He noticed Akira holding his stomach. "But what?"

Daemon was curious to what Akira had to say. He started to swing back in forth, it made him feel childish but he didn't care.

"I grew up in a confused and some say twisted family. One of the outcomes of that was a strong brotherly complex between my brother. As our confused family progressed, that bond was stronger, however, it became a little too strong to the point where my brother.." He grew silent and bit his lip. Instead of his stomach he held his head and shook it. He slightly laughed, hoping it would ease up tensions but it seemed to only make the atmosphere worst. "I can't like you more than a friend."

Daemon sighed and looked down,"It's alright," he said before looking back at Akira,"What exactly did your brother do to you?" he asked with a sad voice. The fact that he found out that Akira could only like him as a friend, but he told his true feelings with out beating around the bush.

He looked at the ground and gulped. It wasn't something he liked discussing a lot.
"The best way I could put it is that it was getting to the point where it became almost incestuous." He looked up and started to sweat. He was confused as to where his feelings belonged to. His brother or where? It seemed strange and confusing as to why he couldn't gain control of his own feelings.

Jaylne was still sketching.

Daemon looked at Akira, he noticed that he was having a hard time. He leaned over and placed a hand on Akira's shoulder and smiled,"I understand. I will leave it at that Aki-kun," he said in an understanding tone. He didn't want to make Akira uncomfortable. Daemon had wish that Akira had had the same feelings for him, but the truth is better than a lie.

Daemon looked up at the sky and sighed.

He looked over at Daemon and his nerves started to calm down. He told the truth, but not the whole.

"I wish things were different." He said, he started to swing back and forth. "I do care for you Daemon, there's a certain feeling I can't describe inside, but you're right, I'm only protecting myself... we really should just be friends."

(ACK my mouth burns...i need a kiss....lol)

Daemon smiled,"We can just start by being friends and see how it goes. What do you say?" he asked running a hand through his blond hair. He yawned softly, closing his eyes and made a low humming noise.

His brighten up and he held out his hand. A smile curved onto his face and an expression of delight. He felt safer this way, but there was a feeling of regret tugging him inside.

"I'd like that... a lot," He laughed, a genuine kind, knowing that things could only get better from here.

Daemon smiled and took Akira's hand,"If you don't want to, then its fine" he said giving his hand a light squeeze. He felt a sudden burst of heat that spread throughout his body. It was a weird but new sensation.

He scratched his head with his opened hand and cleared his throat.
"As new friends, how about coming over for dinner? Its a little late, but I'm sure there's something in our fridge.?" He enjoyed the feeling of having another friend. Ever since he got here in Ouran, he's been feeling happier and enjoying his time here more as well. He slowly let go of his hand and put both hands in his pocket.
