The Forest

"Never tried actually," Yoru admitted, he grabbed the pencil and started to sketch the wing of the blue jay. He stuck his tongue out and glanced at the blue jay a few times.

Haru covered her smirk with her hand. "I see." his expression reminded her of Hanako's 'Concentration Face'.

Yoru smiled and held out the sketch, "I think I did pretty good." He looked at Haru and raised an eyebrow, "Do you find something amusing?"

"Nothing, nothing." Haru said, still smirking. She took the sketch pad and observed the completed wing. He's pretty good.. "Hm." she kept a blank face despite her surprise.

"So what do you think..pretty good for a first time, eh?" Yoru asked, he looked at the wing too.

"Beginner's luck." Haru mused, poking his arm with her pencil. She looked back down at the drawing and leaned back on her palm. "Seriously though, Yoru-san. You should consider taking up sketching if you have no other options."

"Eh..I don't know," Yoru said, he rubbed his back of his head and smiled sheepishly. "I think it was beginner's luck," he said, he looked over at the blue jay and smiled a little.

Haru smiled lightly and looked up at the sky. She could see a flock of birds much higher up. "So what brings you out here, Yoru-san?" she asked without looking at him. "You like nature?"

"Sure..," Yoru said, he leaned back on his hands and looked up at the sky.

Haru glanced at him. "Something on your mind?"

"Possibly," Yoru mused, he laughed a bit and glanced at Haru. "What about you? Something on your mind?"

"Possibly." Haru smirked. She looked at him meeting his glance briefly. "Want to talk about yours?"

"I don't know..depends..will you talk about yours?" Yoru asked, returning Haru's smirk with one of his own.

"Maybe...but it depends on if you talk about yours." Haru took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes.

Yoru shook his head and chuckled, "I was just thinking about how the students at Ouran are different than my family."

"Oh really?" Haru asked, pulling her knees up to her chest and looking at Yoru. "How so?"

"Well for one thing my family isn't really fond of me except for my Brothers and Dad," Yoru said, he closed his eyes and laughed dryly. "You can say they pretty much hate me..not that I care anymore."

"Your family doesn't hate you." Haru said lowly. "What would make you think that?"

"True they don't..they just stay away from me," Yoru murumured, he looked at the ground and sighed.

Haru blinked and looked at the ground too, playing with a blade of grass. "Not meaning to pry...but..do you know why?" she asked quietly.

"Uh..I'm considered the 'black sheep'...more like white since most of my family has black hair..so they would be black sheep and I would be the only white," Yoru said, he ran a hand threw his blond hair.

He shook his head, "Anyways..my mom was the daughter of a rival business of my dad's..they had this forbidden love thing going on and they had me..a few years later she died. I guess my family wasn't happy with my dad and they decided to take that out on me." He shrugged and laughed a little.

Haru frowned slightly, stuck on the mom thing. Why are so many mothers dying lately? she wondered. Outloud she said, glancing at Yoru,"Well...that doesn't mean they hate you. They just don't like what your parents did...I'm sorry about your mom."

"Meh seems like it," Yoru said, he shrugged and looked at Haru. "It doesn't really bother me anymore...and don't be sorry..."

"Am anyway.." Haru mumbled. She shook her head as if to clear it. "So...what are your brothers and dad like?"

"Half brothers...well my brothers are cool I guess, but busy most of the time," Yoru said, he laid down and closed his eyes. "As for my father..he is like a child when he's near his children.."
