The Library

"I don't really care.I mean this..."She pointed to herself."Was actually just a fake...But then I started to like it-being hyper all the time.So it became the real me."She pushed herself off of the book shelf and streched."But you know a human is a human.We have our moments,sad or happy..."Kairi smiled and placed her hands behind her back.

He slouched against the bookcase lightly, with his hands in his pockets. He looked over at Kairi and gave her his full attention. "Why didn't you just act like yourself from the beginning?" he asked in a very calm and subtle tone.

"Didn't want to worry the people around me..."She muttered and flipped through the pages of her book not really paying attention to what was on them since she knew t cover to cover.

(Might reply slowly. Interpreting and making English lyrics for some Japanese song. ^^")

He laughed a bit to himself and looked around the library to entertain his eyes for a bit.
"That's a little unfair for you isn't it?" He cleared his throat. "Then again this is your personal decision whether to have a facade of happiness or to show true happiness, saddiness, etc. and in all, be yourself."

"That's the funny part."Kairi closed the book and looked at him with somehow serious face."When I put my smile on,it makes somepeople happy and that way it makes me happy,I mean real happy.So that way I found something I really love."She smiled softly and sat down a little tired."And it makes my enemies go mad."She said just as a joke."

He took out a coin and started flipping. "Again, how you act would be based on your decision." He left Kairi do what she need to do. He convinced himself that everyone had a strange, but unique of living no matter who they were, which would include him as well. "Smiling for no reason is a seme tactic." He said nonchalantly, speaking his mind once more making an otaku reference.

Kairi nodded in agreement and looked up."How about you?Is there anything different from the way you act and the way you are?"

"Not really, I act as I please. Although, I will show different faces of my personality depending on my mood and the people I'm talking to." He paused and rubbed his chin. "Then again, I suppose everyone does that now that I think about it." He yawned and looked at the ceiling. "However, I do tend to mix up who I am and I what I want to be." He ended whatever he had to say there and let the thought linger a bit.

"Hnn.."She crossed her legs and raised an eyebrow while looking at him."And what would you want to be?...If you don't mind me asking..."

"I'll let you ponder that thought and see what you can come up." He said with a subtle smile. He didn't take much joy in talking about himself. He'll do it occasionally to get people to open up to him however, it would much rather have others get to know him rather than straight out tell them how he is.

"Fair enough."She nodded.But a little smirk appeared on her face."I just hope it's not one of those demons."Kairi pointed at the books around them."Even though it be cool."She muttered imagining what it be like being a vampire or a werewolf.

He felt a little uneasy with the talk about demons. "Careful, you don't want to lure them out." Sadly, he was dead serious. He didn't want to lure anything out. He gulped, sweatdropped and loosened his collar a bit. He didn't like messing with the paranormal.

"So you believe in this stuff?"She asked kind of happy because she also believed in them but found them fun and amusing,not scary.

He nodded to her question. "Yes of course." He looked around cautiously slowly and he wiped his forehead with his sleeve. "I'm, so to speak, haunted by after all." He said in a nonchalant tone. "Or at least that's what my insanity has convinced me of."

Kairi jumped up and looked at him with wide eyes and even wider smile."Really?"She said and looked around finding all of this interesting."Why,if I dare ask?"

He smiled slightly and sighed, getting ready to tell his story. "Well I guess its best to tell the story from its roots. When I was younger, my mother died and my father went mentally insane. Don't pity me either, I was too young to remember most of it so it doesn't really affect me that much. However, my brother remembered it clearly and because of that, we never talk in fear that the topic would appear in conversation." He found himself talking more than usual so he stopped thinking of a way to shorten it. "Anyway, we got this idea that we could 'contact' our dead mother 's ghost through a Ouija board thinking it'll fix everything however, Ouija boards don't attract ghost, they attract 'demons', so to speak. So since then, my insanity believes that I'm haunted by a demon."

She looked at him with a blank look on her face but decided to let go the question about his family."So did you actually talk to the demon?"Kairi asked instead and looked around as chils went up her spine.

"Occasionally yes. I'm usually caught mumbling when I do however I am considered mentally insane so I could just be talking to my subconscious." He said to clear things up. Akira was a highly superstitious person however he never lets go of the possibility that its his own insanity that is causing the problem.

"Insane,huh?"Kairi muttered and closed her eyes."It's more fun thinking it a demon."She said and smiled.Wonder what demons really are like?

"I would say sometimes. They say demons feed on a person's curiosity and meddling. I tend to try to stay away from that as much as possible." He picked up a book from the Metaphysical section once more, skimming through its pages slowly. He needed something to ease him a bit. It wasn't noticeable however, he was indeed very paranoid.

"Then I would be a good meal for them."She said and sweatdropped.Somehow this demon talk got to her and her hand flew to her pocket cheking if it was there.When she made sure everything is there a little sigh left her lips.

He kept flipping through the book but still had some attention to spare for her. "I used to be as well, but fear became my warning." He said, letting his words linger a bit. He looked over at her at the corner of his eye dully and looked at her. "Something wrong? You're acting strange." He said, shifting his eye back to his book.

"Just checking something."She said and smirked as she took a small object out of her pocket.It was a silver knife with a wolf's head on it like a picture.

i peeked in, "kairi class is going to start as soon as the teacher gets there." i said

He caught the knife at the corner of his eye and smiled faintly. "Yeah class is about to start for you, don't want to get caught with that." He closed the book and thought to himself. "Hm...maybe I should meet this Sensei. After all, he's the only one I haven't met yet."
