"If he just 'dumped' you here with some money... why does he even care how you're doing?" Rae looked around the gym, it was pretty quiet with no one else there.

"Well that's expected." Rae laughed. "He lost something irreplaceable to him so he's holding on to everything that he has left." She smiled. "you should be happy that he's concerned about you."

" yeah but he only letting me breathe just this once, once I'm out of school hes going to make me take over the family buisness of a small little bakery which I have no problem of but I want to live on my own. " Jaylne said.

Rae shrugged. "You could always accidentally burn down the bakery and then disappear? I doubt he'd want anything to do with you after that happened."

" no the bakery is a buisness my mom and dad started when my mom was pregnant with me " Jaylne said handing Rae a picture of the bakery's front, with her mom pregnant with her and her dad right beside her mom.

Rae looked at the picture, "you carry this around with you? Do you miss your mother or something?" She glanced back up to watch her expression. "Or did she die when you were too little to remember?"

" she died when I was 10, it was a terrible sickness she died of " Jaylne said. " dad wanted to keep all of the pictures of mom but I stole this from his collection.

" well it was rough, my dad started to drink, he got arrested a few times for drunk driving, I had to take over some shifts at the bakery without pay, it was hard " Jaylne said.

Rae nodded, having had some of the same experience. "So then how did you deal with him being drunk and being in jail?"

" well since I couldn't drive some of my dads friends took him home from the jail, and well I just sang him a song mom would sing when he was drunk it's easy to remember. " Jaylne said.
