Lelouch sighed with mixed emotions, happy that he was the father, but bitterly disappointed with himself, he had brought another life into a world which he hates, something he vowed never vowed to do, he sighed, and stood up, and went in side to see how was Kate doing

"How are you?" he asked softly, sitting next to her

"I'm ood~"Kate said, putting her head onhis shoulder.

"What do you want to do about the baby?" Kate asked.

Lelouch let the question linger in the air, He let out out a deep breath, and simple said, "I don't know" as he turned to face her

Riko winced as she was carried into the hospital by Adam

Mina walks out of the hospital with a dull and lifeless look in her eyes her hair a mess since she had come there in the middle of the night after getting a phone call from one of the doctors.

Suki wandered into the hospital very timidly. She wore a long sleeved turtleneck sweater and her jeans so she could cover herself well. She looked around hoping no one was there and she could turn and sneak back out. Vertigo hadnt come in yet so there was a chance she could sneak past him and hide somewhere. She was never good at hospitals at all. The last time she went to one she bit the doctor for trying to take her blood. Odd as it was she didn't care "Maybe I can still leave" she whispered to herself as she turned on her heel ready to leave

"Hi there!" Vertigo smiled as he appeared in front of her. He was wearing his normal bodyfit sleeveless black shirt and baggy pants. Then he blinked. "The room's that way. Are you lost?" he smiled and took her hand. "Here, I'll accompany you."

Suki went wide eyed and stood absolutly still. She couldn't do it. Even one step scared the hell out of her "Vertigo-kun I c-can't m-move. I'm t-too s-scared" she said as she stayed frozen

Vertigo looked at her. He leaned closer and gently brushed some hair into the back of her ear. "There's no need to fear." he smiled. "I told you, I'm here, always."

Suki bit her lip nervously "But the doctors scary. He's going to be really really scary." she said as she hugged his arm "And don't even get me started on the needles"

Vertigo laughed. "Don't worry. It'll be fine. This one is special." he chuckled and looked at her. "She's a family doctor after all. And no, there won't be any needles." he laughed.

"Are you sure?" she asked as she made a cute squinty look at her as she narrowed her eyes at him. The n she laughed nervously "You know the bruises will go away by themselves right. No need to trouble the nice doctor" she said as she tried to shuffle away

Vertigo laughed and caught her hand. "And? What if there were more to it than the bruises themselves? What if you had actually damaged a vital organ or a nerve than can lead to cancer?" he smiled as he teased.

Suki just looked down "Like that matters. I'm ill anyway or had you forgotten" she said as she tried not to cry

Vertigo patted her head. "I know. That's why I'm taking care of you more than normal." he smiled. "If it were other people, it wouldn't matter that much. But, well, Suki-san has a fragile body after all."

Suki kept looking down and laughed a little bit to herself. "So you're pitying me is that it? Even after I confessed my feelings for you. It's why I don't tell people stuff like this. I don't want pity"

Vertigo smiled. "I don't pity anyone. " he shuffled his hair. "I care for them." he stopped in front of the door and looked at Suki. "You ready?"

Suki didn't say much as she walked to where he was and knocked on the door quietly

Vertigo looked at her, and smiled. He patted her head. "Don't worry. You'll be alright. I'm here." he smiled as the nurse opened the door for them.

Suki didn't look up at the nurse as she hid behind Vertigo and gripped the back of his shirt encouraging him to do the talking

Vertigo chuckled. He looked at the nurse and smiled. "A lovely morning to you, Natsumi-san. Is Ayame-san around?" he asked. The nurse replied a yes then turned around to walk inside, beckoning them to follow her.

He turned his head to the side. "Suki-san." he chuckled and smiled. He took her hand. "Let's go?"

Suki squeezed his hand and nodded "You won't go will you?" she asked nervously

Vertigo scratched the back of his head. "Of course I will. But I'll be staying just outside of where you two will be. So just shout for me when something goes wrong." he smiled.

Suki just nodded and looked around the room. "They won't hurt me will they?" she asked just to be sure "And they won't yell at me?"

Vertigo laughed. "Is that really your image of doctors?" he chuckled. "And now here I am, having a dream of becoming a doctor someday." he smiled. "No, they won't hurt you. It's the other way around, they'll help you." he patted her head and stopped just before the room for Suki and the doctor. "I guess I'll be waiting here then." he smiled and let go of her hand, then took a sit on the couch. "Don't worry. It's alright." he smiled.
