The Boardwalk

Lelouch smiled and turned back to Kate, and hugged her again, and kissed her lightly, ignored the others presents, as he did so

Vertigo smiled. "It's fine. It's to cool my head for a bit." he smiled. He looked around. "So, did you have anything in particular that you wanted to do while we're here?"

Kairi shook her head."No,but this was the first place that poped in my mind."She said and also looked around searching for something to do.She then noticed some food vendors and pointed at one that sold ice cream."Let's eat ice cream."She said and jumped up and down like a little child.

Vertigo laughed. "Okay okay." He took her hand and walked towards the ice cream vendor. He looked down to the side at her. "Flavor?"

Kairi looked at all the flavors and placed a finger on her lips so she could decide what she wanted.After a moment or so she pointed at the chocolate flavor."Chocolate."She said and turned her head up to face Vertigo as she gave him a smile.

Vertigo blinked. "Wow. Cute." he thought as he smiled. He turned towards the ice cream vendor. "Two chocolate flavored ice creams please. Thanks." he smiled before paying for both.

Kairi glared at him a little as if he took her toy."You didn't have to pay for me."She said then looked to the side as a small blush came on her face."But..thank you."

Vertigo laughed and gently patted her head. "It's fine. It's worse if I let a lady pay when she's with a guy." he winked and took the ice creams. He handed in one to her. "Here. Enjoy." he smiled.

Kairi spotted the ice cream in his hands and a sparckle immideatly took it's place in her eyes.She took the ice cream and licked it enjoying the flavor.The blond girl looked up from her ice cream and noticed an empty bench and nodded towards it."Let sit down,before I manage to get some of the ice cream on my clouths."

Vertigo smiled and slowly ate his ice cream as well. He saw the bench and gestured for her to walk first. "Ladies first." he smiled.

Kairi giggled at his gesture and sat on the bench while taking small licks of her ice cream.She looked up at the stars and smile as the night sky was clear and extremely beautiful. "Pretty..."She muttered as if she was under some kind of spell.

Vertigo looked up at the sky as well. "Hmm. Lovely." he smiled, still eating his ice cream. Then he pointed at the sky and ran his fingers in the air, actually forming the shape as he connected one star to another. "See that? That's Orion, the mighty fighter." he smiled.

Kairi trailed the movements of his fingers trying to see the shape he was almost drowing.When she finally saw it a small "wow" escaped her as she stared at the figure. "What's his story?"She asked feeling curiousity fill her.

Vertigo smiled. "See that next to him?" He drew it in the air. "That's Taurus, the bull. And right next to the Taurus are the seven sisters." he drew it again. "Legend has it that Orion was once a mighty hunter god who fell in love with one of the seven sisters. But the other gods didn't permit this and so the seven sisters were sent to the sky to be those stars. However, Orion was persistent and gave up his god lineage to be a star as well. He even brought his two dogs, canis major and canis minor. But the other gods still didn't approved of it. They then placed Taurus, the bull, to guard the seven sisters."

He looked at her. "That's his story." he smiled.

She was still staring at the sky imaging how everything would happen.Kairi had quite a big imaginetion so it wasn't hard to see everything running through her head like a movie and even feel the hero's pain.After a few minutes of staying quiet she turned to the boy next to her."That's a beautiful story."

Vertigo smiled and looked up at the sky. "I think it's more of a tragic story though." he ran his fingers across his hair. "Why didn't the gods approve of Orion being with one of the seven sisters? And now, he's stuck forever fighting the bull without ever knowing the feeling of being with the one he loves." he shrugged and smiled. "And in the end, he will finally give up and just let the bull defeat him." he finished his ice cream.

Kairi's jaw dropped as she stared at him. "No, he will fight forever and eventually lose not bacause he gave up but because he was tieres and there was no streingh in him..."She shook her head lightly."But if it was real life then probably you would be right."

Vertigo smiled. "You have a point. But remember..." he shuffled his hair. "It's hard to fight without someone by your side." he smiled and gently patted her head.

Kairi nodded.For once she knew what that meant even if not to the fullest."I know..."She muttered and brought her feet up on the bench.She hugged her knees and placed her chin on them. "Still it would be awesome if you could live in one of those magical worlds."

"Hmm?" he tilted his head. "So if you were in a magical world, what creature would you prefer to be?" he smiled.

Kairi smiled a the thought."Doesn't really matter..."She muttered remembering the feeling she gets everytime she reads a fantasy story,the desire to be in one of them that filled her."Maybe an elf or a fairy...or even just some human that isn't of such importance of the story.I'm not saying that I wouldn't like to be the main heroine...but everything is fine."She said and turned to the sky with her eyes closed staying like that for a moment."What about you?"

Vertigo closed his eyes as he thought. "Hmm. Maybe an ogre?" he laughed. "Nah. If it were me, I would choose to be the evil prince." he chuckled. "That would be a lot of fun."

Kairi laughed as well."You won't be fit for the job .You're too nice,atleast of what I have seen.You're more likely to be the good one in the story." She said and leaned back in her sit.

Vertigo laughed. "You're probably right. Well, I'll just be a genie then." he turned to her and smiled. "So I can fulfill everyone's wishes."

"Hnnn..."Kairi thought about it for a second."That's a good role and it's really nice you want to help everyone...But aren't genies stuck in laps?Won't you get lonely and after a while even sad or evil because of your unfulfilled wishes?" She asked and looked at him with a question in her eyes.

Vertigo rubbed his chin. "Oh, but don't worry. I only grant women's wishes. Gentlemen can take care of their own. And I guess that's good enough for me." he chuckled. He took a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to her. "Here. You ate the ice cream too deliciously." he chuckled again.
