The River...

"It started when you started acting like a little child at what happend at the pool."She said and closed her eyes again playing with his hair."For god knows what reason..."

Vertigo turned chibi again. "Hmp. I am being concerned, alright?" then he turned to the other girl who stopped by the river bank. He blinked then approached her.

"Um, miss, what's wrong?"

She shook her head furiously, as the man that was chasing her hid...Waiting. Akahana squeeked and hid her face.

Kairi glared at him and got down."Concerned about what?!It's not like he bites."She said then turned to the girl."Hi there."

"Hi..."Akahana said briskly.

Vertigo was about to answer back when he heard hurried shuffles from behind, and judging from the other girl's expression, she was being chased by someone. He narrowed his eyes and turned around to face whoever was chasing her.

He went down on one knee for Kairi to get off. "Kairi-san, please stay behind and take care of her." he said then stood. He took a couple of steps forward and shove his long sleeves up to his elbows as he looked around. He smirked. "Come out." he told the guy who hid somewhere.

The man didn't move. As Akahana hid her face.

"What the..."Kairi muttered but even so she stepped back with the girl bihind her.

Vertigo sighed. "Geez, man. Don't be such a coward." he walked casually towards a nearby bush, and moved some of it a little, and finally saw the man hiding there. He glared down at him. "May I know what business you have with the lady?" he said in a cold dead tone.

"Not your busness..."The man growled.

Kairi twitched as she glared where the man was supposed to be.Still stading infront of the girl she checked her pocket to see if her knife was there just in case.

Vertigo smiled. "Alright then. Did you know? That you came into a pretty bad time. I'm actually in a foul mood today." he opened his eyes and glared at him. "But thank god you came. At least I have someone I can vent my anger to." he smiled. And before the man even know it, Vertigo took his head, and slammed his face hard on the tree just beside the bush, so hard that the impact would break his nose as well as some of his teeth.

"Vertigo!"Kairi almost screamed."What the hell are you doing?"She asked as she was about to walk to him but then remembered the girl behind her and stayed still.

Akahana Squeeked. As the man tried to fight back.

Vertigo smiled again. "Futile. Weak. Undisciplined. Pathetic." he blocked everything that man delivered towards him. "In case you don't know." he looked him. "The name's Vertigo Valentine. A national champion of martial arts in France. "

He grabbed the man's arm, then twisted it to the side, dislocating the shoulder. With a side kick towards his knee, he dislocated the man's leg. Then he glared down at him. "A pleasure to meet you."

Akahana hide behind Kairi.

Kairi glared at both of them and finally decided to walk to the boy."That's enough...Bit him up a little more and he'll die."She said as she placed an arm on Vertigo's shouder.

Vertigo turned around, and smiled, his eyes as dark, cold, and piercing as a demon's stare. "Do you really think I care?" he said in a cold voice looking down at her. But closed his eyes and left the man. "But since you insist, I guess I can't refuse." he shrugged and took her hand and walked towards the other girl. "Hey Kairi-san. I know what you're thinking. But don't be stubborn enough to experiment with the poor fellow. " he chuckled.

Kairi played with the knife in her pocked and smirked."Relax I won't do anything.You did enough."She said and looked at the man one last time before turning and walking to the others.

Akahana sat down, sihing in slight reilef.

Vertigo approached the other girl. "Hey, too late to tell me that he's a sibling or a cousin or whatever now. The dislocations will probably take about 2 months to heal. The twisted joints, about 4 months. And the broken bones, well, who knows? Maybe years?" he shrugged casually like nothing happened.

"He's not family...."Akahana muttered.

Kairi stood next to Vertigo and smashed him behind the head lighly."Be more polite.She must be freaked out!"She said and smiled at the girl."You ok?"

Vertigo rubbed his head. "I was just saying." he mumbled. He looked at the girl then smiled. He crouched and turned to her. "Are you hurt anywhere?"
