The River...

"This should be fun.."Kairi muttered to herself as she knew they'd probably end up lost."Ok let's go."She said and followed Evangeline.

"Neahahaha~ Don't worry." she beamed. "When it comes to this place I'm going to show you, I rarely get lost. Especially at this time. Ahahhaa.~" she sped up faster. "What's the matter, turtle head? Left your legs at home? Hihihi." she waved at her.

Kairi shook her head and ran after her not too long catching up with her."Did you forget that I can out run you even when you're with rolerbladers?"

Evangeline was already panting to death. "Hah. Hah. You're.. cheating. You've got some freakishly human engine inside you. Hah. Unfair." she pouted. She was only walking now, almost dragging herself with every step. "Oh really! This sucks! What use is having an above 200 IQ if I can't even run a 20 meter lap! Really!"

Kairi smirked as she strated walking as well."Well I think you'll figure it out sooner or later..After all you're the smart one."She said and looked around."How much longer?"

Evangeline looked at Kairi, then smirked. She suddenly jumped and rode on her back then pointed forward. "Alriiiight! Now go, my loyal subject! Head north, err, east? Oh just go straight the path, and it will lead us to the sacred place. Ohohohoho! Serve your purpose well, dear servant. Run! Run like the wind! Go go go. You're so slow. Really. Get moving. Shoo. Come on. Giddy up."

Kairi walked pass Evangeline as she hit the back of her head lightly."I'm not your servant."She said and walked towards the direction she was pointing.

Evangeline raised an eyebrow and scratched her cheek. "Wow. Odd. I was just riding her a while ago." she shrugged and followed Kairi.

Kairi was getting kind of bored from all the walking so she turned to the girl."How much longer?"She cried.

She scoffed. "Wow. Are you seriously asking me about directions? Ahahaha." she shrugged. "I don't actually know. Buuuut, we'll be there in no time. I hope." she beamed.

She stopped as she finally saw it. "Oh, there you go. We're in the right path after all!" she chuckled. "Ooooh, I knew my minie miny mo is right." she nodded. She ran pass her and towards the end of the river. There was a small wooden bridge that joins the two banks. She giggled and hopped onto the centre of the bridge.

"Neahaha. Welcome to my kingdom! This is my favourite spot during nights."

As Kairi got closer and closer tot he brige her smile faded."I've been here before..."She muttered and looked around and saw the tree that she had climbed that one night not too long ago.

Evangeline turned around and looked at Kairi in wonder. "Hmm? Now that's a total knock off." she scratched her head. "I'm perfectly sure I haven't brought anyone here with me before other than Lelouch." she looked at her watch. "Ooooh, it's almost time." she chuckled.

Kairi knew what she meant.The fireflies were about to come.But there was not really any emotion on her face.She remembered the fight she had with Vertigo here.Kairi then turned to the girl."You haven't brought here even Vertigo?"

Evangeline hummed. "Uhm." she looked up and scratched her cheek trying to remember. She simply shrugged. "I don't think so, no. Hmmmm, most likely no. Don't know." she shrugged thrice. She looked at her watch again.

"Shoosh. They'll be here soon." she turned around. She looked up at the moon.

Then it came, as slowly, fireflies emerged from the riverside and gently floated everywhere, with their tiny multiple lights giving the area a new wholesome romantic mood.

Evangeline calmed her eyes as she smiled warmly, the wind washing over her, letting her hair slightly billow. "Aaah~ So nice. The best place everrrrrrrrrrrr." she chuckled slightly.

She turned around again and smiled. "Don't you agree? Oh, hey, no stealing of kingdom! I took over this first!"

Kairi contunued lookein at the view infront of her with no emotion.Then the girl said not to steel it and she gave a small laugh."Don't worry.It's all yours."She said not looking away from a firefly infront of her.

Evangeline tucked some of her hair behind her ear as the wind blew again. "Hey, look over here." she chuckled as she pointed down at the river just below her. "They're a special kind of fish that contains fluorescence. They don't really attract much beauty during the day but..." she smiled as she pointed at them. "... look, they're glowing during the night, filling the river with their different glowing colours. Cool neh?~" she chuckled.

She looked at Kairi. "Seriously?!!!!!! How come you look like a brick? Lelouch was like, woaaah, when he saw this place you know." she grunted but shrugged and ran towards the riverbank.

KAiri ran a hand through her hair as she turned to Evangeline."As I said I was here before..."She didn't really want to ruin her mood so she smiled."But even so it's really beautiful."She said with the best smile she could give.

Evangeline was running around, trying to catch a firefly. "Heeeh?~ You were here before? When?" she jumped and reached out, but failed. "Sneaky." she narrowed her eyes then tried to catch another one. "But really, not many people know this place. I bet noone actually know this scenery when the fireflies rise."

"Actually I was here on a full moon,like this and the fireflies and the fishes were here too."She said and she sat on the brige and looked donw at the water."But it's still really cool..this place I mean."

"That's weird." she shrugged as she finally caught a firefly. "But I guess other people can discover this place anyway. Ahehehe." she sighed. She ran towards the riverbank again. "But I like this place. Soooo much." she smiled.

"What's there not to like?!"Kairi asked with a small laugh and turned to the girl."So is your home something like this or is there a place like this there?"

Evangeline shrugged as she bent down. "Hmmm." she scratched her cheek, recalling as hard as she can. "Hmmm, I have a bad memory. But yeaaa~ as far as I know, there's a place like this where I used to live. Hahaha~ You won't even believe something like this exists in France." she stood up and ran back to Kairi. "Unfortunately we didn't stay that long there though. We moved to Paris after a couple of years." she yawned. "Hey, wanna see a trick I've learned when I was young?"

Kairi nodded and looked at the girl wondering what she would do."If you push me in the water again I will kill you."She said as she pointed a finger at Evangeline.

"Aww. And I was going to do that too." Evangeline pouted. "Aaanyway. Well, not really. But I love doing this." she chuckled as she took out her left hand holding a blue flower in a shape that of a bell. She then let the firefly crawl inside the flower, and it glowed with a bright blue colour. She smiled, calming her eyes again as she held and stared at the glowing flower.

"Cool huh? Yeaaa~ I showed it to Lelouch and he was like, well, astounded." she grinned boastfully.

Kairi opened her mouth as the same thing was shown to her by Vertigo.But then she decided not to say anything about it and just smile."WOW it really is awesome."
