Vertigo nodded. "Sure is." he said lazily, already half asleep. He yawned. "Aren't you done with the cake yet? I'm hungry." he chuckled.

Raven rolled her eyes, "Yeah, yeah just wait ten more minutes."

Vertigo sighed. "Ten more minutes? Okay." he stood up. "Maybe I'll just watch how you do it so I'll know what to do next time." he chuckled.

"I though you would run, next time someone said the word 'cooking'" Raven joked.

Vertigo chuckled. "Well, I don't particularly want to dissapoint my cooking teacher here. She went into trouble of inviting me into her apartment after all." he laughed. ''Nah. Actually if you weren't just holding that harisen, I would have ran away long ago.'' he chuckled.

Raven looked at the harisen, "strange, I thought this would make people run not stay." She placed the harisen on the table and went to get the cake.

Vertigo chuckled and took plates, forks& glasses for both of them and set it on the table. "Alright. Everything's ready. Where's the cake." he smiled in excitement.

Raven walked down with the cake and placed it on the table, "One blueberry cheesecake."

Vertigo smirked as he looked at cake. He shook his head and looked at her. "Unfortunately for me, you get tn have the first slice. Ladies first." he smiled.

"Question, Is it just you or a rich people so polite and all?"Raven said while cutting the cake, "you don't have to act like that around me you know."

Vertigo looked at the cake with excitement, then raised an eyebrow. "I'm not being polite. I'm being,uhm, normal. If I'm in my polite mode, I would have pulled a chair for you and be the one slicing that cake. So, yeah, pardon my rudeness. I just become like this when I'm with my sweets." he said, still looking at the cake droolingly.

"You're going to clean that mess up." She said pointing at the drool

Vertigo looked up at her. "Oh just hurry up and take your slice. I wanna eat my blueberry cheesecake already. And I beat the eggs for that cake." he smiled proudly.

"Yeah yeah," Raven said as she grabbed her slice.

Vertigo chuckled and took a slice as well. He smiled. "Itadakimasu." and he dug in.

Raven ate her slice of cake, "So what, is that Japanese for bon appeutit?"

Vertigo chuckled and looked at her. "I don't know. You tell me." he chuckled again. "I'm new to Japan. But I do often hear them say the phrase before they eat." he smiled.

Raven finished eating her slice of cake and went to do the dishes, "So you just said it without knowing what it means, but i guess that you are right."

Vertigo shrugged and continued to eat his cake. "In order to adapt to the new country, one needs to adapt to the their culture. And I'm one of them." he chuckled.

"True, but i'm just slow on that." She said while cleanig up the kitchen

Vertigo finished his cake and closed his eyes. He clapped his hands together and chuckled. "Gochisosama." he smiled.

"Eh...." Raven looked at him clueless.

Vertigo laughed and stood up holding his plate. "It's another phrase said after meal." he smiled and brought the plate on the sink.

"Gezz I guess I'm wat too slow on this." She smiled, "O well I'll catch up someday."

Vertigo laughed. "Well, I learned from Evangeline, and you learned from me." he chuckled.
