The River...

Vertigo washed his hair as well. "Hmm. Of course you're not. You're only shivering." he chuckled.

Kairi turned to the ground as she placed her chin on her knees and closed her eyes.How did he noticed it..I can barely feel it...

Vertigo stood up and shook his water off his hair. He looked around, then walked and began picking up things. When he was done, he returned to where they were and dropped the wood branches he had gathered. He took some stones, rocks, and leaves as well.

He arranged them. He scratched his head as he wasn't really good at these things, but nonetheless, rubbed two rocks against each other to produce a spark across the leaves. He intensified the spark with the branch of wood, and after a couple of minutes or so, finally successfully created a camp fire. His eyes enlightened. "Hehe."

Kairi smiled as he started the fire."Good job."She said and watched the flames.Her hands went around her and she closed her eyes again.

Vertigo moved far from the camp fire and sat on the edge of the river instead. He then again washed his head. He smiled as he played with the water.

Kairi opened her eyes as she heard footsteps.She looked at Vertigo as he went to the river again."You know...you'll catch a cold like that."Kairi stood up and walked to the fire herself."Come on,come here.."

Vertigo chuckled. "No thanks. I'm weak with heat." he smiled. "Just enjoy the fire there. And I'll enjoy mine here." he chuckled and played with the water again.

Kairi nodded."Ok...but if you catch a cold I'm not at foult."She said and brought the jacket closer to her and watched the flames.Not long after she streched her right hand towards it and played with them.

A loud splash was heard as Vertigo dived in the river. He resurfaced and chuckled, then shuffled his hair and looked up at the moon. "Ah. I feel refreshed." he chuckled.

Kairi turned to him as she heard the splash.A small smile formed on her face as she shook her head lightly.He is soo catching a cold.Kairi thought and turned to the fire as she felt slight pain on her finger.She looked at it still with a smile.

Vertigo blinked then picked up something. Then looked at Kairi and waved. "Hey Kairi-san! I found a harmless snake! Wanna play with it?" he chuckled.

"How can a snake be harmless?"She asked as she stood up and walked to the shore and bend down so she could see the snake.

Vertigo looked at her. "Hey, you'll catch a cold if you go here." he climbed up to the shore, holding a black snake. He then walked towards the camp fire. "Let's stay here. Although I can't for too long." he laughed. "Well, this snake is not poisonous." he smiled.

"But it still may bite."Kairi said as she walked to him and sat down as she touched the snakes head with one finger as the thing stuck it's tongue out.

Vertigo ran his hand through the scales. "Everything bites anyway. Dogs, cats, rabbits. Heck, even birds." he chuckled. "Snakes are only feared because most of them are poisonous."

Kairi giggled as the snake went up her arm."It's cute."She said as the snake made a "sss" sound.

Vertigo raised an eyebrow. "Wow. Not many girls can say something like that." he chuckled.

"Why?"Kairi asked as the snake went from her left to her right hand."It is true after all."She said while smiling at the snake.

Vertigo chuckled. "Well, the natural reaction would be freaked out. Or perhaps screaming their lungs out." he smiled.

Kairi gave a small laugh."Like me when I see a frog."She said and looked at the boy."I guess I'm not so different."Kairi muttered with a smile before running a finger on the snake.

Vertigo looked to the side. "Someone who's afraid of frogs but not of snakes. Nope. Totally normal. Not so different at all. Very very common."

"Kairi laughed at how he said it and nodded."It must be..."She said and let the snake go down on her leg as it again made a sound.

Vertigo chuckled. "Wanna know something weird?" he smiled. "I actually like snakes. Not much of a pet, but well, as an animal." he laughed. "And turtles. And cats." he chuckled.

"Why is it weird?"She asked as the snake got on the ground and she looked at Vertigo."And you already know my favorite anime...aside from it next in line are the dogs."

Vertigo looked at her. "Huh? But you never told me your favorite anime. Only your favorite movie." he smiled.
