The River...

Vertigo looked at her, then smiled. "And how are you going to punish me, exactly?" he chuckled.

"Something painful that don't doubt."She said and turned to the sky watching the clouds move slowly.

Vertigo flinched. He looked at his watch. It's almost that time. "Hey, Kairi-san, wanna see something nice?" he smiled.

"Sure,why not..."She said and sat up looking around wondering what he meant."What?"

Vertigo stood up and patted his back, then held a hand for her. "It's the magical garden." he chuckled. "We won't make it in time if you don't hurry." he smiled. "It's just by the end of this river."

Magic?!She got up with his help with a smile."What are we waiting for?"She said and started running while laughing.She knew it was probably just a prank but still it was a change in the mood that had taken over her for the past hour or so.

Vertigo chuckled as he scratched the back of his head. "Um, Kairi-san, it's this way." he smiled as he pointed to the other direction. He chuckled and winked playfully. "Race you there." and he began to run.

"Oh..."Kairi muttered and turned around running after him."That wasn't fair!"

Vertigo laughed. "Again, it's your fault." he chuckled. "You went on running without even knowing where to." he laughed again.

Kairi was finally catching up with him when she saw a frog infront of her and she was about to step on it.But instead she jumped up with a scream.

Vertigo blinked and stopped running. He turned around and saw her and the frog. He smirked. "Oh right, you're scared of frogs." he smiled. "Oh well, looks like I'll win." he laughed and turned around again to walk off towards where he was heading, purposely teasing her.

"Vertigo!!!"She screamed after him as she was looking at the frog with fear in her eyes.She jumped back as the frog jumped towards her."Please..."She muttered.

Vertigo smiled and stopped. He sighed and turned around to walk towards her. He looked down at the frog. "Well, I can't possibly harm it, you know." he smiled and walked towards her, then went down on one knee. "Hop in." he pointed at his back. "Let's just leave Mr. Frog alone since this is where he lives anyway. We're the intruders." he chuckled.

"Um,you sure it's alright?"She asked and glanced one more time at the frog and nodded.She placed her around his neck."Ok let's go."She said and looked up towards the sky so she won't look at the frog.

Vertigo chuckled and stood up, then walked on the side of the frog and to where they were heading. "Geez, you're such a crybaby." he laughed. "That's just one frog and you already look like you're going to have a heart attack or something." he chuckled.

She hid her face in his shoulder as a little blush appeared on it."It's not my foult...If I could I'd change it to some more normal fear as...maybe snakes..."

Vertigo chuckled. "Oh well. Though not many people are actually afraid of frogs, it's normal to fear something. Besides, it makes you rather different from others." he smiled.

Not liking the hole frog theme Kairi shook her head."I should probably get down already.I must be heavy."She said with a smile."And weren't we in a hurry?"

Vertigo chuckled. "If you say so. But don't go asking me again to save you when there's a frog, alright?" he laughed.

"Ok,ok..."She muttered and got down but not before looking at the ground for anyothe frogs.Kairi had a feeling that he will probably tease her because of her fear."So where were we going?"

Vertigo chuckled. "I told you, the magical garden." he smiled and held out a hand for her. "Although if we don't run, we'll miss it." he chuckled.

Kairi smiled and nodded."I wouldn't want to miss the magic."She said and grabbed his hand and started running in the direction they were headed.

Vertigo and Kairi were finally reaching their destination. Then he finally stopped running when they reached what seemed to be a small wooden bridge connecting the two banks of the river. He looked at his watch then raised an eyebrow in wonder. He scratched the back of his head as he looked around. "Where are they?"

On Kairi's face grew a smile as she saw the bridge.She skipped to in and stoped n the middle.She looked at the water and closed her eyes for a moment.The she turned to him."Who are we waiting for?"

Vertigo was beginning to panic as time passed by. "The fireflies." he said as an answer to her question. He looked around, leaned against the bridge, moved to the end of it, edged to the bank, but couldn't find any.

"Where are they? They're the ones that make this place magical." he mumbled, still looking around.
