The Boardwalk

First topic message reminder :

The Boardwalks lined with street vendors.

(God, I'm moving... but I wish I was moving to the Pacific Coast ;A;
brb, switching computers.)

He blinked at him twice and looked at him in question. To fix his personality to fit another sounded interesting to him, however, strangely he was able to relate to him in a way. "To switch to the personality that best fits." He laughed a little and pressed the question a little further. "and why is that?" He had a blurry reason as to why, however, it would've been better to hear it from Kuro than to assume. "It's funny, because all those sides, I find amusing. No matter how many you change, I can always get a sense of 'Kuro' behind it." He wasn't sure if his last statement made sense however, inside he wanted to say, he enjoyed Kuro all round.

Kuro blinked at him, he was hoping he wouldn't ask, but knowing Akira, he knew he would. "Why? Because.." He paused for a moment, closing his eyes, "Because I've been rejected too many times." In his hometown, every time he made a friend, it was because of his parents being all-stars and he was rich, or because they wanted to use him one way or another. No one liked him for who he was.. The only exception was Etsuko.

He slouched back and looked at Kuro, furrowing his eyebrows. "Rejected? What do you mean?" He started to ponder what he meant more and the more he thought about it, he felt more and more melancholic. He couldn't really see who would turn down someone like Kuro.

Kuro frowned slightly, looking down at the ground with saddened eyes, "I was eventually hated by every friend I made." He wasn't exactly liking the topic, his past was not something he enjoyed revisiting, but he would answer Akira any question he asked, even if he didn't want to.

Noticing Kuro's mood turned down, he realized that they meant when they said 'curiosity killed the cat'. "I guess that means they weren't your real friends." He looked back at the sky, realizing it was a bit darker. "They weren't very worth keeping Kuro, however here, count how many true friends you have here."

(Sorry for the short responses, chatting with a few people xD")

Kuro glanced back at Akira and stared at him a few seconds. He leaned back in the seat and held out a fist, looking up in thought and putting up one finger for every person he could think of. He ended up having to hold up his other hand as well, "9..I think." He paused for a moment, then smiled widely, "Aki-san I have a lot of friends!"

(I'm talking to a lot of people too, so it's okay xD brb gotta drive my brother to his friend's :p)

He smiled and nodded laughing to himself. "Exactly, and many more to come too." He looked out into a distance, rubbing his chin. "What was that one friend you told me about...Etsuko... that was your friend correct?" He smiled back to him. "Although that was one, there was something special about that one right?" He put his hands in his pockets and slouched more. "To be honest if I were you, I would just be happy with one that really cared about you than 20 that didn't but I guess here, you're lucky. You have a lot that really care about you."

Jaylne continued to walk on the boardwalk.

Ichirou paced down the boardwalk with his eyes looking forward the entire time. He wore a white shirt and black swim trunks, his hands dug into his pockets.

Berry was walking around and smiling

He continued walking, subtly looking to his left where vendors were speaking in obnoxious voices in hope to lure people to play their cheap games.

Berry looks around and sees a boy and waves to him

His eyes spotted the stranger waving to him. Ichirou gave her a 3-second glance as a greeting. He didn't know who she was, and had felt no motivation to speak.

Berry smiled at him and walked over to him "Hi..."

"Hey."
Ichirou stopped briefly to speak and then picked up his average walking pace again.

Berry says "Am Berry. You?" trying to keep his pace

"Ichirou Izanagi."
He continued his pace, not stopping for a second.

Berry smiles and says "That's a nice name..so how are you?"

"Good."
Ichirou stopped briefly in front of a bench. It seemed like she would come with him no matter how long he walked. He took a seat.

Berry smiled at him and said "Am good too. So um....what do you want to talk about Ichirou?" and takes the seat beside him

"Nothing specifically."
Ichirou spoke in a monotone voice while looking ahead at the flashing lights of vendors and arcades.

Berry looked where he was looking and said "What are you looking at?"
