(hahah really? XD the human race is an odd one, but you gotta love most of it ^^)

Kuro blinked and stared up at Akira silently for a few moments, then a small smile tugged at his lips, "I..Thank you Aki-san..you are the good sort of person, you know? And a great friend. I'm sure not a single person can deny that." His smile grew as he spoke, a family, though unofficial, is not a small decision to ask someone to join. It touched his heart to know that Akira cared, that he wasn't alone.

His eyes shifted to Kuro and a smiled was painted on to his face. He scratched the back of his head and sweatdropped, a little embarrassed from his statement. He did feel a little better inside, he would've asked Kuro to stay with him, however, the apartment was full and was sure that Kuro probably had other plans somewhere along the way as well. He looked around the kitchen walls. The apartment wasn't fancy, the place was like a bachelor's pad however, for the first time, he felt that there was a sort of responsibility imposed on his shoulders. It wasn't a burden, but a goal. "Just remember, to visit often for me. I don't really see my roommates that much, so company is always great. Same goes to you Mereni-san!"

Mereni nodded and smiled. "Sure thing Akira! The Gyuutatakidon is delicious!"

He smiled and closed one eye, giving Akira a peace sign, "It's the least I can do Aki-san!" He laughed and dropped his hand, opening his eye. It seemed he couldn't stop smiling since he got to Ouran, he had expected it to be boring and full of strangers, but it was exciting and a warm welcome from everyone.

He finished his dinner and wiped his mouth once more. There have been a few things that were going on in his mind lately. He got out of his seat and placed his bowl in the sink. I hope that thing doesn't start piling up by the end of the week. He looked over at both of them and yawned. "Once you're done, you can throw your bowls in the sink and we'll take care of the rest." He picked up a newspaper, going to the job section. I really need a job now...maybe I could open a shop... no... that could be expensive. He rubbed his chin and picked up a pair of reading glasses.

Mereni finished up and licked her lips. "Delicious! Thanks Ichirou and Akira!" She got up and went over to the sink. She stopped and looked at Akira. "I can do the dishes if you want."

Kuro took the final bite of his food, savoring the taste. He stood and took his bowl to the sink, tossing the empty Ramune bottle into recycling as he did. "You invited us and shared your food, I'd feel guilty if I didn't help with something," he laughed lightly, turning on the faucet and waiting for the water to get hot.

He tilted his head and sweatdropped. He placed the newspaper down and stood up, slightly. He walked over to the sink and looked at Kuro, then to Mereni. "I don't know, I feel like a pretty bad host if I bad you do our apartment chores." He said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Mereni smiled and gave him a light hug. "Don't worry. Its the least we can do after you've made us a great dinner."

Kuro laughed a bit, nodding in agreement, "Realy, Aki-san, it's fine. I'd feel like a bad guest if I was invited in, ate all your food and didn't give anything in return. Please, may we do the dishes?" He wasn't too surprised at Akira wanting to make the visit as good for us as possible, but he owed Akira a lot, and the very least he could do was a few dishes.

He was startled at Mereni's light hug. He turned red, from embarrassment by the both of them. he continued to rub the back of his neck. "Well..." He looked at the both of them and let out a sigh, smiling in utter defeat. "Alright, knock yourself out." He leaned on the wall and watched the both of them. It was funny because this might of been the first time, he experienced what a family should have been like.

Mereni smiled and added the dish soap to the hot water. She looked at Kuro and asked, "Would you like to wash the dishes and me dry them, or vise versa?"

Kuro thought for a second, "I'll wash :3" He handed Mereni a towel and grabbed a sponge. It felt..weird. It was like how a family was supposed to be like..but, he wasn't entirely sure, since he'd never really experienced it, but he has his imagination. It was better than he imagined. By far.

He looked at his watch and stood up straightening his posture. He felt a small feeling of nostalgia come across his body. "My brother and I used to do the same thing with the dishes." It sort of sadden him since he didn't get to see his brother as much anymore. Ouran was becoming better than he expected. He was planning on traveling out of Japan one day, however, there was a small string tugging at him, urging him to stay.

Mereni smiled and took the cloth and waited for a dish to dry. "My sister and I use to do this too. Only my dad had to help because I was too short to reach the cupboards." Looks at the cupboards. "I think I may still be too short, to reach the top shelf."

Kuro glanced at Akira as he finished washing the last dish, "You have a brother? If you don't mind me asking.." He smiled sheepishly, not wanting to get too personal if Akira didn't want to, but finding himself curious as to his life outside of Ouran.

(oh Akira left to go brainstorm and hang out with friends and everything for awhile)

He turned his gaze at them, crossing his arms, then looking at the clock on the wall nodding to Kuro .

"He's rather busy now-a-days though with work." He dusted off his sleeves then rolled them up again then looked at Mereni and laughed. "Don't worry, I'll handle the rest for you Mereni-san." He looked at both of them, glancing at them back and forth. "Where do you guys live? I could possibly visit you two sometime."

(Kuro went to go see Toy Story 3)

Mereni smiled. "Thanks Akira. I live in Apartment 3."

(TOY STORY 3!? That was a good movie :D. Pulled on my heart strings)

(Never saw it but want to!)

(ahhh that movie was AMAZING XD sorry if I'm a bit late btw, wanted to help Mom with a few household chores then cleaned my rabbit's cage)

Kuro put a hand on the back of his head, smiling sheepishly, "I, uh..actually don't have an apartment yet. I live with my parents, about a 10 minute walk from here." He wanted to get an apartment soon, but his parents would hold him back and make up any excuse to make him stay, he decided to give them just a bit more time since taking their last living child away from them sounded cruel.

(whoops, my sister was still signed it, didn't realize haha my baddd)

(I rubbed my eyes for a second when I saw your sister post, thanks for clearing it up ^^
That movie made me really sad ;w; but happy.)

He nodded and smiled at both of them. He looked at the clock again and stretched. "Alright, tell me when you get an apartment Kuro-san." He yawned and picked up his hat. "I'm going on an evening stroll, if you guys need anything or want to come, I'm going to be at the boardwalk." He paused for a second rubbing his chin, "Or stay here, sleep over, trash the place, etc. Whatever makes your little hearts content~"
